Woohoo! I am part of the Skirt as Art series over at +Skirt Fixation and I had so much fun with this one.
For my Skirt as Art piece, I chose a painting by Norman Rockwell called Triumph in Defeat. We love his paintings and this one reminded me of our youngest.

Back from fiddle camp with a little TMI. But what's too much between friends, right?
Oh my goodness! We are back from Moses Lake Fiddle Camp (like last year) and tons of fun was had. While The Bee was fiddling her heart out in class for 6-8 hours a day, we took our Falafel everywhere there is to go in Moses lake. Swimming at the waterpark, running at the Highschool …

On our shelves today
On our shelves today is a book called: *this post contains affiliate links* Normal Norman by Tara Lazar illustrated by S. Britt What a sweet story about what it means to be “normal”, or really how there isn’t one, and how we are all unique. I adore the retro-styled illustrations, and the message. And the …

Seriously crazy amount of photos I capture every year at the parade.

I made another skipper top for my youngest (like here, here, and here) so she would have something festive to wear to this year’s parade. She paired her stripey shirt with her Wonder Woman skirt, and she was good to …

Remember the recycled plastic bag Christmas wreath I made? Well, my daughter dressed it up, using an old sock, to celebrate the Fourth with us!
Remember this wreath I made from recycled plastic bags? Well, my Falafel wanted to turn it into a Fourth of July wreath. She took one of her ripped up fuzzy blue socks, and cut it into strips, and tied it on the wreath. Done. Pretty clever 10 year old, huh? I think we should use …
