I may not be able to name fifty-five of the best things in WV, but apparently State Journal.com can, and has.  And it is one of my finds!  Maria told me just this afternoon.  Congrats to Maria Allen and the whole +Maria's Taqueria  Gang.  Congratulations

A healthy individual is no harm to anyone.

As blood supplies need replenishing, or blood required for a family members surgery all need to be able to donate.  We all need to be within arms reach to help.

After the success of Hunt For Red October, one would have thought they wouldn't "jack" with a Tom Clancy Book and just write the movie based on the book.  Now there's a third Jack Ryan.

I love Christopher Pine, I love Kevin Costner and Kenneth Branagh.  This may be the one that should have followed Hunt.  This may have been the one that should have been done instead of Hunt.  I might even forgive them their Indiana Ryan faux pa.

Just pick a format - Real, fantastical or comic book.  This looks in this trailer - a bit comic book-ish.  Expected Stan Lee to pop up in the credits.  Oh, they did Thor - explains it all.  Enough said.

Disappointed that Port City Java is gone. But happy Rooster Moon is carrying on. Trying a Sherlock. A chocolate Earl Gray Latte.

Was here for a meet up. Got stood up.

Bragging rights
I am the proud father of Keilan Alexander Johnson, the next greatest, and most popular Iron Chef. Owner of a great head of prematurely white hair compared to others my age. The short list about me include; stood on the bridge of five "Enterprise(s)"; fallen through two roofs three buildings; delivered five babies; search and rescue following three earthquakes; have participated in fighting nearly a million acres of wildland fires; and the tallest person ever to be crash/recovery certified for the space shuttle.

First, there is the food. Capital & Capitol AWESOME. Secondly, the staff. Fast, Friendly and Capable. More often than not, students from the local college that have been collected as strays and put to work. Thirdly, if there was a glitch it would have to be the owner. Maria. There is something about Maria... There will never be anyone else in your life experience that will treat you the way that you will be treated here. No on will be as grateful that you as a customer choose to darken her doorway. She makes it her mission to stuff you with Mexican Street food that will actually carry you through to your main meal the following day. She has no borders. She welcomes all and no one will be left feeling left out. I have to qualify that I have been a regular customer for four years. I haven't had a bad experience yet.

Really wanted to like this establishment. Crowd really trendy and was not welcoming or friendly - I guess it was obvious that I was from out of town. The staff was focused on locals and didn't take time to schmooze with the out of towner. It was really a "cold" and "trendy" place that I was made to feel unwelcomed. Was approached and was given an armband and when asked what it was for I was curtly told that it was for Cobalt. (Duh!?) Since I was standing there in the lounge - I could only have assumed that...

Staff went out of their way to accommodate me and to make me feel welcomed. They listened to what I was looking for and made suggestions that got me into a kayak. Now I can go play on the river. Brilliant. They even set me up with one that matches my car. I do not know what more I could have asked for...

Brillant. Owners and staff truly made this a memorable get away. (MLK Weekend 2014) Again: Brilliant stay at Roseland. Second time this year. (Memorial Day Weekend 2014) The weather cooperated and it was spectacular. It made better sense to run around half dressed or totally nekkid this time than it did back in January. (However, on both occasions - there was a rhyme and reason.) "Doc's" Lecture is a "Must-Do". His take on the the stars, cosmos and life in general are fascinating. (Can be found at the observatory on top of Rosehill.)
