Beautiful Rescue

A lovable #dog  was saved from the most deplorable of conditions.
A foul smell rises up from the concrete ditch through which a small trickle of water runs. It comes from two dead dogs whose bodies have been tossed in here. The light glares off this bleak channel,

Meet Gus!

One of the friendliest, goofiest, most lovable #dogs  you could ever hope to meet. We're helping to  #foster  Gus while he patiently waits for his #foreverhome . Check out his amazing story of #survival  and fall in love for yourself!
When I first saw Gus, he was lying in the back of a Dodge Caravan, lifeless. Then, I saw him stir — and wag his tail. Gus had been hit by a car in a northern community with no access to veter

Make way! There’s an ‪#‎adorable‬ seal wobbling through!
The #NationalMarineLifeCenter released three ‪#‎seal‬ pups named Sea Salt, Basil, and Juniper back into the wild. It definitely got our seal of approval for being one of the ‪#‎cutest‬animal releases yet!
Sea Salt (pictured here with our handy dandy ‪#‎GoPro‬), was a harbor seal pup rescued by ‪#‎IFAW‬ two months ago with a broken jaw, difficulties breathing and signs of infection. After some intensive treatment and lots of good ole' #TLC at NMLC, Sea Salt was ready to hit the surf with his buddies Basil and Juniper.
Thank you #NMLC for the great work!

We need your help to protect big cats-and the public. Read more here, then help us by urging the USDA to create a rule banning all public contact with big cats. We thank you for your support.

Thanks to +The Dodo for sharing Stewart Cook's heroic tale of #animalrescue  on the 10th anniversary of #HurricaneKatrina. From kittens to a 300 pound pot belly pig, no #animal was too small or too big for helping.

Representatives Mike Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) have just re-introduced the Captive Primate Safety Act, H.R. 2856, a bill which would end the shameful interstate pet trade in monkeys, great apes, and other primates. Stand with IFAW and other animal welfare groups in urging your congressmember to vote yes on the Captive Primate Safety Act!
