These animals are the treasures of our earth as is every other species. These animals cannot speak for themselves, so we Must! Through the ages they have a claim to this planet just like ourselves.
They are unique in there development, and have endured ages to be what they have become. They bind themselves to this planet for how they exist and how they balance out earth's nature. They supply this world with life.
Throughout our history, starting after the dawn of man, our species have recorded their lives and stories through cave drawing, burials, and rituals and religious beliefs. They have become part of our human conscience in which all cultures share. That sharing is a bond that unites all humans through our imaginations, in writing, in art and in science.
These animals like all animals must be protected to exist in a state of freedom no matter how brutal it seems or how little we understand of their lifes'.
This world is full of such incredibly beauty and everything that has evolved should be respected.
I cannot imagine this world without them. With all of them, it becomes a world of diversity and discovery for us to engage, respect and discover. Without them, it would be a completely barren, and sad world. I want to live and experience a world of life shared.

Representatives Mike Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) have just re-introduced the Captive Primate Safety Act, H.R. 2856, a bill which would end the shameful interstate pet trade in monkeys, great apes, and other primates. Stand with IFAW and other animal welfare groups in urging your congressmember to vote yes on the Captive Primate Safety Act!

IFAW works in Northern Canada's remote First Nation Communities where there is little or no adequate veterinary care. Each year, IFAW staff and vets visit communities and set up spay/neuter clinics as well as conduct educational programs stressing the importance of responsible pet ownership.

Purabi and Dwimalu are two rhino calves being hand reared in Manas National Park in India with the assistance of some IFAW staff members. Dwimalu was orphaned in the wild when his mother was poached, and Purabi was brought to Manas to ensure Dwimalu had a friend growing up. Check out the awesome photos here!

Saving animals in crisis around the world.
Introduction
IFAW works to improve the welfare of wild and domestic animals throughout the world by reducing commercial exploitation of animals, protecting wildlife habitats, and assisting animals in distress. IFAW seeks to motivate the public to prevent cruelty to animals and to promote animal welfare and conservation policies that advance the well-being of both animals and people.
