Great beer list and they use the proper glasses for each different type of beer. Pretty casual and lots of TVs to watch a game. There's no patio but there are huge windows to take in fresh air.

Too cool for school. Takes itself way too seriously.

Only had drinks here so I can't speak to the food. overall pretty basic place, wasn't too loud and definitely a mixed crowd which was nice to find on Bedford.

Off beer, very slow service, out of stock drinks. Not great.

Nice beer spot in Williamsburg with a good selection and variety of draft beers as well as two cask ales and plenty of bottled options. The food is pretty standard pub fare.

This is a place to go if you love trying new beers. My first time here, I asked about a particular beer that was on tap, and the bartender immediately gave me a small sample in a glass to try. It was delicious, so I had a full pint, and then I had a pint of a different delicious beer, and yet another pint of a different delicious beer... I have since come back many times, and every bartender that I've talked to has been very knowledgeable about the beers that they serve. Mugs rotates their beers on tap pretty regularly, and they host some special events where they'll have a whole roster of Belgian beers on tap for a while. My only criticism is that sometimes the selection won't be very balanced--once in a while the whole menu seems like IPAs, another week, all you can find are porters and stouts. But typically, the variety is great and I can find something new and tasty to try. In addition to beer, Mugs has some good bar food. I've gone out of my way to eat a burger here more than once. As far as the atmosphere goes, Mugs is what I sometimes call an old man bar. Old man bars have their pros and cons. Pros: Nobody is there to pick up dates or impress anybody. Most people come here to relax and drink. Cons: If you're a young lady, it's hard to hang out alone without people talking to you, so I wouldn't recommend going if you just want to drink in your own little world.

People go there non-ironically, surely a first in wburg. The beer selection has some nice surprises (kelso and uinta) but the food is just the usual Sysco stuff.

Unassuming place, but it might have the best beer list in the neighborhood. Prices are a buck lower than other bars too. They have a lot of events where they get rare kegs from American breweries.
