Did you know St Valentine's remains are in Dublin? They were brought there from Rome after been given as a gift to a Carmalite priest in reward for his great sermons. They are on view in the Carmelite chapel about 1km from our office. There is always an open book on the alter where forlorn lovers can leave messages and hope to have their prayers answered. If you every visit Dublin it makes the most poignant reading material you will ever find. Whatever about spreading love, it seems he has a lot of broken hearts to mend, from cheating husbands to partners dying of cancer - there is the odd thanks too, where things worked out!
Well we aren't St Valentine, but if you have any GAT problems you can leave them here or email directly to support@generalaudittool.com and we will try to fix your broken GAT, if not your broken heart. Happy Valentines day everyone - with lots of love from the GAT Team!

Where does a good idea come from?
Did you know that Halloween was originally an ancient Irish autumn festival? It has now grown to a worldwide phenomenon, thanks mainly to the Irish in the US carrying on the tradition. One character now often associated with Halloween is Dracula. Dracula was written by Bram Stoker who was born in Clontarf, Dublin and whose family later moved to Buckingham Street, which was near the old Suicide cemetery. If you committed suicide you could not be buried on consecrated ground, but instead were buried here, with a stake being driven through your heart! (https://comeheretome.com/2018/03/19/ballybough-and-the-mysterious-suicide-plot/)
Afterwards Stoker moved again to over a Shop on St Stephens Green. Leading from St. Stephens Green is Hume Street, which is where GAT is based. Across the street from our office building is Hume Street hospital, the now closed Dublin Skin and Cancer hospital. (http://cdschc.ie/history/) It treated skin diseases and allergies, in particular one where the patient was allergic to sunlight (a condition more frequent in Romanians, particularly those from Transylvania). It is quite likely that Stoker would have seen these patients as they were discharged from hospital at night, covered from head to toe to protect them from light. Finally Irish folklore has a tradition of female vampires and it is believed Stoker's mother was a great story teller.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire_folklore_by_region#Celtic_(Gaelic)_Nations)
Put it all together and you can see where Dracula comes from.
On the other hand, we at GAT rely on you for great ideas. Let us know what you really need and we will add them to our product.
Happy Halloween or as we say here Oíche Shamhna Shona Daoibh (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yC3Vaz-Ehw) which like a lot of things Irish, sounds nothing like what is written :-)

Admins using Shield - usage reports indicate that not many of you use the 20 different tables that are available on the dashboard. These are very rich reports all of which can be exported if they need to be explored in detail.

The need to easily copy a Group often comes up as a request in this community, GAT+ has now made this easy for Admins. (+General Audit Tool ☁ is non-free security and auditing tool for G Suite)
Admins have you ever needed to copy a whole group just so you could add or remove a user from an existing group?
GAT+ now makes this easy with a single 'Copy Group' option for every existing group. You can then use the Admin console to update the membership list of the copied group.

A tool that told you exactly where knowledge, on any subject, resides inside your organisation, picking out subject matter experts on anything from product to customer. Now it's here. GAT for Managers. Empower Users with G Suite. Empower Managers with GAT.
We are now inviting Enterprise customers to join our Beta for G4M.
