Refined takes on American comfort food served in a charming, old yellow house with a patio.- Google

Awesome restaurant!!! We got a kitchen side table which was really great entertainment if you can get it. The food was beyond exceptional and the service was excellent. If your in Charleston this is a must go to restaurant.

Great food, below average service. The swordfish was huge and cooked to perfection. The local special, tumeric rubbed wreckfish plated on a bed of sliced cucumbers and baby potatoes proved to be a great flavor combination, and likewise cooked perfectly. The Mac & Cheese creamy and savory, sautéed mushrooms excellent as were the sautéed vegetables. The service, however, did not match the quality of the food. The food took much longer than expected to arrive - others seated well after us received their entrees before us (We didn't order appetizers nor were we slow to order), the plates came out in stages instead of simultaneously so others in the group were waiting, the server checked on us almost immediately after the food was delivered - we hadn't even taken a bite - but then we never saw her again, she forgot to include a side dish we ordered, and we had to ask someone else to bring us the check. We'll definitely return for the food and hope the poor service was an anomaly.

A must choose for a quaint, high quality dining experience with home-like feel. It is away from the noisier Market street area and is in an old renovated home. Definitely call ahead for a reservation as this place is super busy all the time. The salmon was delicious and the pork shank is a must order because they slow roast it themselves and it is scrumptious.

I judge places on their salad, and their ability to accommodate to my food allergies. They care very much about serving a good salad, which I appreciate, and I was surprised the salmon was possibly the best I've ever had. And they accommodated to my dairy allergy very well. Highly recommend!

We came here at the recommendation of some of my wifes co-workers. I checked out the menu and it looked like a great little spot. Had some trouble getting in with a reservation for a couple of weeks. Once arriving I found out why. Its a VERY small location with just a few tables. I didn't count but I'm thinking somewhere around 30 people is about max capacity. Don't let that deter you. Quality of the food was really good. I had an appetizer that was delicious and both of our entrees were very good. For once we could not determine who had the better dish because we were both very happy with what we got. Service was very good as well. There was a pretty constant attention paid to our table. Never ran out of water and offered to refill our drinks. The wait for the bread, appetizer, and entree were on point. Value of the food was really on point. I actually felt that they are punching a little above their weight and in some instances could charge more. I wouldn't consider it a bargain as it wasn't dirt cheap, but quality and value in comparison are there. What I didn't care for was the noise level. It was pretty tight quarters and there were some patrons that were very noisy near us. Not the restaurants fault of course, but in the tight quarters just know what you are up against. Other notes: Parking could be considered a challenge here. There are lots close but its typically a different direction than you would be walking for downtown. Don't let that deter you. We'll be back, and I'll put this on my recommendation list.

Great atmosphere in an old single home: felt very uniquely Charleston. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the fried oysters.

Very friendly and attentive staff; mussels are excellent; added bacon to burger but so salty it ruined the flavor of what would have been a great meal. Place is cramped and noisy; wait staff flying about seems like an accident waiting to happen.
