Making a Dance Film with Javier Cardenete (Filmmaking Workshop)
Date: THURSDAY June 29, 2017
Time: 9:30 am to 11:30 am
Description: I started to have interest in dance when i discovered the Choreographer and dancer Chevi Muraday; My artistic way of expression has been always cinema and visuals. When i had to film a live performance in scene from Chevy i realized that i need to move the camera and take a closer shot of all this expressive movements, details and emotions and show them in the screen. In two hours i will try to introduce the participants in the way i see the dialogues and interaction between the dancers with no words, only the emotional language of body movement trying to tell a further story and with a narrative intention on screen. Use of the camera, planning the shots with a planned choreography or getting ready for improvisation and rebuild the dance in the editing room to get a dance film.
Location: Celia Franca Centre, 400 Jarvis Street, Toronto (Wheelchair Accessible)
Cost: $25

Please use discount code SPAIN at time of purchase at our online box office http://contactdancefilmfest.eventzilla.net/
and recieve 50% off these two events.
