Text: Ruth 1:1-6 Romans 8:28
"Give Me the Spirit of Ruth"
God wants us to worship Him. We shouldn't wait until we get our income tax return, but worship Him even when we don't have a dime in our pockets.
Sometimes we can push people away with our murmuring and complaining. We have to be careful what and how we speak to people in our frustration. Naomi allowed her hurt and pain make her bitter and push away one who cared about her.
But Ruth spoke to Naomi and told her don't push me away! I'm going to stay with you...your God will be my God! Ruth took hold of a God she did not know...she believed!
Ruth got up and went to the field to glean...in faith. Faith touches God. When Ruth got in the field she found hope and favor.
We have to have the spirit of Ruth that says I won't leave...you can't make me leave no matter what you do. But I will stay and work the field, because there is hope on the way.
The end of the story was greater than the beginning of the story...because Ruth would not give up.
