Introducing a new game I’m working on called Fist of Liberty!

Fist of Liberty is a tabletop roleplaying game about normal people attempting to overthrow the oppressive state. Inspired by such dystopian classics such as 1984 and Brave New World, and films like THX-1138, Brazil, Max Headroom, Idiocracy, Equilibrium, and The Hunger Games. It is a one shot game designed to be played in 4-6 hours. Every game of Fist of Liberty is different as it starts with a fast cooperative world building and character building session!

The game mechanics for Fist of Liberty — while admittedly still being worked on — are inspired by the excellent game Soth by +Steve Hickey and also by Apocalypse World by +Vincent Baker and +Meguey Baker. If you haven’t played either I highly recommend both!

I’ve already started play testing the game. Several of the play tests happened at Big Bad Con 2017 which were a whole lot of fun and very instrumental in helping me improve the game and develop it further. I will be running additional play test sessions sometime soon so if you are interested in joining please drop me a line

When you pick up a new roleplaying game and play it with your gaming group roll 2d6.

On 10+ you all have a rocking good time and everyone totally wants to play it again next time.

On a 7-9 choose one:
• Your gaming group likes the game mostly but think it needs some house rules to be truly enjoyable.
• You personally like the game but a couple of your friends in the group don’t making it hard to get to the table.

With the Kickstarter release of +Graham W's Cthulhu Dark, I've finally gotten around to finalizing my game hack Lacuna Dark, for playing a more horror focused version of +Jared Sorensen"s wondrous oddball game Lacuna Part 1 - The Creation of the Mystery and the Girl from Blue City!

And so here it is for all of your pleasure Lacuna Dark!
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_x5XNahtqzvaFdjVDI4Y1ludE0

Lacuna Dark uses a variant of the Cthulhu Dark mechanics with the best parts of Lacuna (Heart Rate, Agent Techniques, etc.). It includes no real setting info so requires Lacuna to play — also the game is amazing so get it!. You can get the excellent Lacuna Part 1 - The Creation of the Mystery and the Girl from Blue City game here! http://www.memento-mori.com/rpg/lacuna-part-1-second-attempt

I highly recommend you support the Cthulhu Dark Kickstarter! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/78929588/cthulhu-dark

Seems appropriate
Corsican Vendetta Dagger c1825

This dagger’s colorful name may come from the design’s historical association as an ambush and assassination weapon. It is also known as a Mediterranean dagger because the design can be found in Sardinian, Italy, France (les couteaux Corses), and Spain (almarada or chupa sangre).

The reverse tapered swage makes the tip strong and ideally shaped for stabbing, while the blade is long and sharp for cutting. The overall length of this dagger is 16 15/16". The blade is 11 3/4" long, approximately 15/16" wide near the grip, with the top edge being 3/8" wide over most of its length. The reverse tapered swage is 4 1/2" long. The grip seems to be made of one piece from horn or tortoiseshell.  The dagger is unmarked, but it likely dates from the late 18th century to the mid 19th century.

Corsican has become known for multi-generational feuds where honor required the spilling of blood. By some estimates more than 4,300 murders occurred there between 1821 and 1852. We have our own famous blood feuds here in the United States, like the Hatfields and McCoys, but is hard to imagine a death toll like that.

In the mid 19th century a short story entitled Colomba by Prosper Mérimée help romanticize the Vendetta tradition. Afterwards many vendetta style daggers were created for the tourist trade. Often these souvenirs have colourful inscriptions like “May your wounds be mortal” or “You go straight to the heart of the enemy”.

I created a useful Keeper (GM) aid for Soth. The Soth game comes with handouts but I wanted something a bit easier to read that had it all the main things you need to reference constantly as a Keeper. Also I wanted to have some boxes and things to track the Relationships, Suspicion, Days, and Clarity.

Hope this is as useful for people out there wanted to run Soth!

~~~~~~ Praise Soth! ~~~~~~~
p.s. if you don't know the game Soth grab it and run it to poke your favorite GM to run it for you! https://payhip.com/b/Ux9O
Thanks +Steve Hickey for creating such an awesome game!
Praise Soth! We finished our game of Soth last Night! So many tangled relationships in that small town — a town that has now been overtaken by the great lord Soth. Such a great game! #rpg #tabletopgames #soth
This Tumblr post "Rations for various RPG Races" is pretty great though very D&D focused http://artemis-entreri.tumblr.com/post/160744381948/rations-for-various-rpg-races
It has gotten my brain stewing on what sort of day ration pack Duskvol Scavengers would take with them…
- Mushrooms
- Smoked eel
- Seaweed crackers
- Strong scented cheese from blind albino goats
Also all this would make for good bar small plates at any tavern in Duskvol.
Anyone else have ideas for what sort of food you'd find in a ration pack, maybe even Heritage specific? Like what would an Iruvian carry? Or maybe your gaming group already has a list of foods they commonly eat at the their local Duskvol tavern? I'm curious to hear!
