This was the first time I went to sazon. Food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful, prices are great. Location was a little tough to find due to small sign, but when we found it made it worth our while. Very clean and friendly. The wait for food we short and like I like it when I'm starving. Very impressed by this restaurant! Already planning to come back.

Lapin and I came here for dinner on a Wednesday night. We had reservations but the hostess made us wait until the last person in our party arrived before sitting us. To note, the waiting area is not big and it's next to the bar, so people kept walking into us and the entire dining room was completely empty (except for 2 tables with a couple and their children). She had an attitude problem like she was doing us a favor by letting us eat at the restaurant. Lapin ordered the Tri-Fongo, which was a good size portion and he enjoyed it. We got a shrimp and a chicken empanadas, which were a bit dry but still tasty. He also got calamari which was just okay. The white wine sangria he ordered was a bit to weak and sweet for his taste. I got the special for the day, which was pomegranate salad with beets. The salad came out without any pomegranates...but tons of beets. The only reason why I ordered the salad was for the pomegranate. I also got the other special which was pumpkin raviolis. It was good, but a bit random and weird for a Puerto Rican restaurant. We split an order of flan but Lapin remarked his mom could make better. The service was subpar at best. No one came to check up on us and we had to flag servers down for assistance nor is the food worth the inflated cost.

I had the best time there. I went there for my best friend birthday and we had the best time. We had the 45 dollar special and sangria. They had a special birthday song that would play and loved it. I will recommend this place to any one

The food was good. However, the music was too loud. I felt like I was dining at a club. On several occasions I had to resort to shouting at the person across from me in order to be heard. Very unpleasant experience indeed.

I have visited this restaurant on several occasions and diferent events including business & personal affairs. Food is delicious & prices are great. Location is accessible from different methods of transportation. Very clean & friendly. Am stopping by later this evening again. Food, music & drinks. Great Saturday.

Today I went to sazon for the first time and I wasnt impressed by the place, not because of the way the place looked, it was very nice looking, but because of the hostess she wasnt very friendly to me and the food wasnt all that great. I am sorry but I will not be coming to this resturant again. the one star is because of her, I am a customer service peron so if i am going to pay 20 dollars for lunch in hopes that i will be able to attend again for dinner with friends, then she needs to be more friendly.

I visisted this restaurant with a friend for the first time during one of many NYC restaurant week events and had no complaints. The service was great but I was a little bothered by the automatic 20% gratuity added to a check for a table of two? The meal started off with a basket of garlic toasted bread accompanied by a bean spread which was different but pretty good. We chose to skip ordering any cocktails and when right to ordering the empanadas for a appetizer. I had the chicken along with the shrimp while my friend had the chicken and beef which were all delicious. Based on previous Yelp reviews we both ordered the pernil and was not dissappointed. The portion of meat served was huge and the taste was exactly what you want - garlicky and very tender! Without ANY exageration I took home so much meat I had to share it. For dessert my friend had a chocolate cake while I had the lemon cheesecake and we both were served the best tasting coquito I ever had! My only dissapointment was that the coquito sample was small and served in a shot glass LOL I'll definitley be back!

I would given a FIVE. But that Manager Richard. He just not wants to make you go back. He does not greet his customers.(Well not all the customers) at least the one he feels he shouldn't. I go there all the time. Hes very rude because even if you show you don't like someone you show respect and ask is everything ok. I work in a Catering Hall and as a Bar Tender and as much as the customer can be rude or mean I smile and ask if everything is good. But not him. The Bartenders Esther and Tiffany Beautiful ladies inside out. But with a Manager like that and a place that get occupied on a daily basis does not deserve a person like him. When you become a Manager like it or not you approach your customers whether he likes it or not. He does not deserve this position if he is going to be choosy with customers. How am I suppose to bring more people to a fantastic place if a Manager wont treat his customers like if he wants to them to come back. He has a very bad attitude. He does not deserve this position at all. Otherwise food and drinks are great.
