Johnny's New York Style Pizza
7011G Manchester Boulevard, Alexandria, VA 22310
A slice of cheesy, doughy heaven. I'm originally from NY and this pizza place is one of the closest things to NY style pizza that I've found in the entire DC metro area. You can order by the slice or by the pie. Service is great. I usually order mine ahead of time so it's ready as soon as I get seated!

World population: 7 billion and adding 1 million every five days.  By 2050 we'll reach 9 billion people!  I think we have some planning to do.

Chill atmosphere... cool bookstore and couches for lounging and eating. The food is pretty good. The blackened salmon is my favorite.

From the outside SOVA looks like a small coffee shop but once you enter, you'll find two floors of comfortable couches, tables and chairs. The upstairs lounge area has 2 separate rooms and a full bar! The caprese panini is delish and all of the staff (including owner Frank) is super friendly.

If you love Cuban food, you'll love this place. I had the chicken empanadas and oxtail - both delicious. They are famous for their mojitos - ton of flavors and you can order a virgin if you don't drink (equally as tasty). There was a live band playing spanish music, which added to the ambiance.

DC Landmark. It's a must-go if you've never been. Chili half-smoke is deelish - make sure you have cash (although they do have an ATM in the back).

Very affordable, casual and delicious peruvian style food. Great if you want to get good portion of food, for cheap, in a hurry :-)

I was really excited about the menu, but a little disappointed in the food. The chicken tacos were bland and I've had better empanadas. However, the freshly squeezed lemonade was amazing. The decor is pretty sweet too. We sat in the basement. Kind of has a dark, cave-like feel. The restaurant turns into a club at around 11-11:30 so if you plan a date dinner be prepared for the tables to disappear to make way for a dance floor!
