HEY, HEY! ALMOST SUPER is only $1.99 on both Kindle and the Nook. This is because SEARCHING FOR SUPER comes out on January 20th.

$1.99! That's like . . . a Big Mac. Only without the trans fat!

Okay, my friends, time for a book giveaway. Here is what's up for grabs.

FIVE copies of ALMOST SUPER
TWO ARCs of SEARCHING FOR SUPER (not scheduled to be released until January 20th)

The rules are simple:

Post a comment to this thread, and tag a friend. You AND that friend are now entered to win a book. Simple as that. I'll choose people from the comments, and you can choose which book you want.

Make sense? Ready . . . GO!

Got your book in the mail today. Will bring it to the launch party tonight. Hoping you'll sign it. I'll be the tall fan boy in the back.

We went to this last year, listening to Almost Super on the way there and back. It was fun! thanks for writing it and allowing it to be read aloud and recorded!

What happens when your son is too smart to fall for numerous attempts at a Rickroll?

http://marionjensen.com/2014/01/rickroll-a-dish-best-served-cold.html
I've been trying unsuccessfully to Rickroll my 14yo for four months. Every time I send him a link, he asks if it's a Rickroll. He swore I would not be able to trick him. Yesterday I sent him a picture of Rick Astley through the US postal service, and the words “Gotcha” written below it.

Two things I said tonight that may or may not be related.

"It's always fun to start a sentence with, 'speaking of scat.'"

And . . .

"I don't know why I'm not invited to more parties."

Went in to pay off my lease. They quoted me four thousand more than what I was expecting. When I asked for a breakout, they showed me taxes, fees, and then my payoff amount which was $2,000 more than on my statement. When I showed them my statement, they tried to laugh it off. "Oh, our finance guy was looking at the wrong statement. He fat fingered it." You say fat finger. I say dishonest.

Extremely pushing sales staff that does not disclose everything up front. Buyer beware, they are all promises until you've signed, and then you're on your own. Going to this store cost me $200 in hidden fees.

I've been there twice, now, and both times I was treated with courtesy. They've got a great selection of miniatures, CCGs, Euro-games, comics, family games, and RPGs. The only thing missing is wargames. We found out about the store because of their pokemon tournaments, and when we went we were given cards to play, and really treated nice. Great store.
