Early politicians required feedback from the public to determine what the people considered important. Since there were no telephones, TV's or radios, the politicians sent their assistants to local taverns, pubs, and bars. They were told to "go sip some ale" and listen to people's conversations and political concerns. Many assistants were dispatched at different times. "You go sip here" and "You go sip there." The two words "go sip" were eventually combined when referring to the local opinion and, thus we have the term "gossip."

The Dow is down more than 300 points, crossing below the 13000 mark for the first time since September, in a post-election retreat. Besides equities, energy and metals futures are also taking a pounding, while traders take shelter in U.S. Treasury bonds.

Very nice...Been here a few times with my family. Good selection, fresh, good prices, friendly staff, prompt service and nice atmosphere. Also, good vegetarian options for those who don't like the fishy. Irvine Spectrum is a great location if you would like to do some window shopping or catch a movie.

5 stars for the French Toast and eggs. Greek Salad 4 Stars. Chicken Mushroom and Avocado 4 Stars. 8 page menu with something for everyone any time of day as you can tell from my review. Service was friendly and prompt. Owner came out to say hello. This place has been here for 32 years. Love the old Hollywood nastalgia. Great find on our way back from Santa Barbara. We will be back.

Fantastic! Very family friendly and well done counterpart to the Manhattan equivalent. We will return to the LA version soon. Butterfly pavilion is a must see!

Sunday night dinner not too busy and we got our food quickly. The food was pretty good. The telling sign of a good Mexican restaurant is the chips and salsa. They were average so you can guess what I mean by pretty good. Prices were fair for large quantities of food. If we are in the area we would come again.
