Very bad food. The cheapest ingredients possible. Heavy greasy chips and bottled salsa. Bland, tasteless canned tasting sauces on everything. Thick blobs of greasy cheese something like Velveeta. Awful, disgusting, and sickening. We ordered house margaritas that were made with liquor that gave us a terrible headache. Avoid this place!

I'm sorry to hear this for we have been in business for many many many years! Everything is homemade and made fresh daily. I'm sure you must be speaking of another restaurant. Sorry for the confusion.

Maybe one of the most bland "Mexican" restaurants I have ever eaten at. They have one red sauce that was used on the three different dishes we ordered (including burritos smothered in "green" chili), the table salsa, and as a soup for one of the entrees. The refried beans had no flavor, looked and tasted like they came out of a can, and formed a thick paste that was almost inedible. The interior was sad and dingy, but that's more of an aside than anything. To top everything off they had no hot sauce which might have salvaged an otherwise one note meal. After looking at the other reviews I noticed a lot of the 5 star reviews come from accounts that have little if any information and usually have only reviewed this restaurant. I can't make you avoid this place, but I recommend that.

I'm sorry you feel that way Alex! Please come see me at lunch sometime Mon. Tuesday. Or We'd. For lunch 11-2. I believe you may be thinking of a different restaurant. Our food is homemade made fresh daily. And our pork green chile has been a favorite for many for 55 years... And has been shipped all over the world! Hope to meet you soon, Jessi Godinez with El Burrito

I have been going to El Burrito for years. I have taken many of my friendd & family. We have always enjoyed the food, decor and especially the people. They treat you like one of the family. The food is good & I always come home with enough for another meal. The price is right.

El Burrito has been a family favorite for many years. The food is always good, the service always friendly and the prices reasonable. I am very fond of El Burrito's green chili. The green chili is very good, has lots of pork and the tortilla that are served with are always very fresh and nice. That and a pint of rice is one of my favorite take outs. I put it all in the bowl together. Love it! I also love the chorizo burrito and my kids always order the chicken enchiladas. Very meaty and tasty. I am also fond of the tamales and the green chili plate. While I recognize every person has a different understanding of any particular dish or what may be "authentic", I think even in Mexico, you would find that to be different in every restaurant, berg or region. El Burrito certainly serves traditional family recipes. I have always had excellent, friendly service and well enjoyed my meal.

Funny how most of the negative reviews are from anonymous Google users. Frustrated competitors, maybe? I recently had family in from 6000 miles away. Topping the agenda? A meal at El Burrito! Service? The chef knows my order so well that when I accidentally misspoke to a new server, he asked for confirmation! The complaint that the green chili was red is hysterical- if the fool was serious, go back to 'old el Paso'. By the way, it's worth every plane change on that 6000 mile journey. Other than my late grandmother's thanksgiving dinner, nothing else rises to that standard. It's big, comfortable, there's an outdoor patio, the margaritas are great and the food is still prepared the way 'mama' insisted. The very definition of 'northern Colorado Mexican' style cuisine. Guy Fieri needs to get here- or maybe not. I like being able to get a table any time without a wait...
