POC Lab Update - Part 6
It's sort of connected...... So after getting the base lab more or less sorted, I wanted to spend some time looking at getting remote access. I was originally looking at using the PFSense VM and configuring a VPN connection to there. I just couldn't wrap my...

POC Lab Update - Part 4
Time to Move On I've spent quite a bit of time trying to work out how to create a VPN connection so I can connect in to the test lab from more or less anywhere. I know it is possible, using the PfSense router/firewall, but what I am confused about is how I ...

POC Lab Update - Stage 3
Just a quick update today, although things with the lab have moved forward quite a bit.  I had had some problems with the VMs not connecting on the LAN private switch but I resolved those simply by resetting the NICs.   On a Go Slow Also, whilst I was worki...

POC Lab Update - Stage 2
So I've changed the plan a little bit.  Although my "test" laptop is pretty much up to the task, I am limited a bit by only having 8Gb RAM.  So I've now switched to using a spare Dell PowerEdge server that we have on-site in the office. This server has got ...

POC Lab Update - Stage 1
So, I've spent most of the week messing around with my test lab, and trying to find the best home for it ! The lab is now set up on the test laptop I use while at work.  As I am planning to build a complete AD domain, I obviously want to isolate the test ne...

Some Good News
Well just a quick note this morning to catch up. Took the 70-698 exam on Friday and passed it with a score of 863, which I was well pleased with. The exam itself was easier than the practice exams I had been working on, but I'm still glad I did the amount o...

Hi

I have tried tried installing the T100TA 64 bit Final ISO on my T100TAF. I have followed the instructions and the installation reports it has completed successfully, however, when I get to step 12 the computer doesn't boot into the grub menu. It boots into a Windows recovery screen as below. I therefore cannot remove the efi.signed kernel. It's as though it can't see my Ubuntu installation ?? I have also tried to re-install Windows 10, but when I attempt to boot from the USB stick it doesn't show up as an option within the BIOS. It only shows Windows Boot Manager which then brings up the same screen.

I suspect I have damaged the efi partition somehow, but I'm not 100%. Is it possible to revive my tablet or have my tinkerings broken it beyond repair ??

Any assistance would be appreciated so I'm not banging my head against a brick wall :)

Thanks
Matthew
