Highly recommended. Its my go-to place in Listowel. The food is excellent. I should know I'm a very choosy eater. You will not be disappointed.

I have had several occasions recently to visit Allo's in Listowel with either clients or friends for both lunch and dinner. On each occasion I have found the ambience, service and food to be of excellent quality. There is a really warm atmosphere and the restaurant itself is beautifully laid out. One of my companions was a pedantic foodie from San Francisco and even he could not find fault. For a very reasonably priced lunch or a more upmarket dinner then I can heartily recommend this award winning restaurant.

Just happened to walk past and look in the window until then I didn't know it existed as I don't live here. Lovely old style decor and the food and presentation was gorgeous. The waitress was very helpful and the cost was reasonable. I will certainly go back.

Found dirt and an insect under salad and plaice. Owner ran away instead of extending "customer service", sent waitress over to tell us why it was ok to have "organic" dirt in dinner, as if poor kitchen conditions could be excusable. No apology from owner's wife who sat us, took our order, very friendly (phony) until it was time to face dirt and insect on dinner plate. We've been in this business for 35 years, and know how to make matters acceptable, she made them worse. Would recommend Fitzgerald's, The Horseshoe, The Listowel Arms, anywhere but Allo's.
