Here's a little Firefox plugin I made to do what I wish HTTPS-Everywhere did: Give me a way to temporarily disable all non-HTTPS communication. It's under initial review with Mozilla so there are warnings all over the place. Source is at https://github.com/cwilper/http-nowhere

I don't see why people are always so surprised when successful public companies behave amorally. That's exactly how we designed them to work. #googlereader #googleadblockplus #walmart #monsanto #etc

Playing with Atari 2600, C-64, and NES emulators for my phone lately has given me this weird urge to do some 6502 assembly again. Trying to resist and keep my recreational programming rooted in this century led me to this interesting little comparison between 32 and 64-bit x86 assembly.

Hi +Chris Wilper if you like everything 6502, please take a look at our +mos6502 fan page - +André Fachat and I post something interesting every week.  See the past posts at https://plus.google.com/u/0/108984290462000253857/posts

(Nick Morgan has a nice in-browser 6502 emulation environment in his tutorial at http://skilldrick.github.com/easy6502/#first-program)

Haven't used Firefox in a while, but giving it another chance since I'm now hooked on mouseless browsing. Vimium is really cool, but it just can't do what it needs to with the limited control Chrome gives plugin developers. So far Vimperator for FF feels a lot better integrated with the browser. I still wish I could find something to navigate my hierarchy of bookmarks with vi keys (ala NERDTree). At least I know it's far more likely to exist in the FF world.

Whoa. Mouseless browsing with vi-like keymappings. How did I manage to avoid discovering this for so long? The only thing I find lacking so far is a donate button.

Finished C25K yesterday. Looking at B210K as a possible next step, but I really just want to start adding half a mile/week to my runs for a while...it seems simpler. Anyone else done this?

+Jerry Decime Ow. Well I have no problem avoiding sprint finishes for the foreseeable future. Though beating one's sister in law does sound like a worthy cause.

+Andy Fairbanks Good to hear. I've been trying to go mornings around our neighborhood. Afternoons can be rough even up here in the arctic.

Here's the list of things you have to do if you want TFS to detect actual changes you made outside of your IDE:

1. Make sure you have TFS Power Tools installed
2. At the command prompt, type: tfspt online /adds /deletes /diff /noprompt /recursive directory-name
3. At the command prompt, type: tfspt uu /recursive directory-name

Here's the list of things you have to do if you want to do the same thing in git:

Just started using SyncMe Wireless for Android. It auto-moves all my pics and videos off my phone onto my home NAS when I'm in wireless range. Awesome app...exactly what I was looking for, but I can't find an iOS equivalent for Deb's phone and my iPad. Anyone know of one?
Copy, move, sync and backup your mp3, pictures and documents over WiFi, USB...

I have an Atrix and I'm pretty disappointed about this. But I have to remind myself it could be worse. Google Maps still runs on my phone, after all.

Interesting. I found myself wishing something like this existed a while back.

I think everybody agrees that Curiosity is an excellent name for a rover.

Except cats.
