This cafe needs a lot of improvement to be considered trendy, top quality, hipster-like and worth the find. Coming from NZ and having sourced top coffee spots all over the world we certainly know our coffee and expected better things. Arriving with a pram we were told to park our son in the corner by the door (in the cold) despite there being plenty of room. Our coffees were cold, and so weak that you could barely taste anything at all. The barista was also so slow that we waited about 15 minutes for our coffees despite it not being busy. We also had to collect our coffees from the counter despite there being another employee standing around just cleaning her hands on a rogue tea towel. The worst thing about the place was most definitely the clientele who all sat around describing the coffee as incredible, eating cold burnt toast (because food options were so limited) - they were all very uncultured and straight from their American exchange programme. Skip this cafe at all costs and head down the road to Cafe Kitsune where they serve caffeine with their coffees, distinguish properly between a piccolo and a cortado and allow you to have coffee in one of the most picturesque spots in Paris.

Probably the beat coffee I had in a while. Relaxed waiter, very nice. Amazing coffee!

My family popped in for breakfast one cold morning and we left warm and satisfied! There is not too much to choose from the breakfast menu, but the quality of everything is top notch. Although the croissants and pastries we ordered might not have been made on premises, it was evident that they were freshly made that morning by a bakery. My banana bread was full of banana-ness but unlike a lot of banana bread, it wasn't overly moist or too dense. My sister's granola with goat's cheese and honey was quite the taste sensation! The barista is also warm and friendly—which was a really nice way to start the day. For our first Parisian breakfast Télescope was a good first choice. Know that the place is quite small and always full to the brim with people, so if you're wanting a meal there, make sure you get there before the usual peak hour meal times to get a seat.

Great coffee and pastries but the decor is a bit bare and the staff not particularly friendly. But it's a welcome addition to an area that truly lacks a good coffee place

thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere as well as my doppio epsresso. I was impressed to see that they had options for beans as well as aeropress, but the coffee was weak like most places here. But you can never go wrong with espresso!

Great third wave coffee - enjoyed my aeropress & great banana bread. Worth the trek from wherever you are in Paris. I'd go so far as to say it's Melbourne quality coffee ;P

Great option if your in need of a non-Paris style coffee. Like the other reviewer coffee is a bit weak, but prob one of the best shops in Paris.

My favourite neighbourhood coffee shop. Welcoming owner, fantastic coffee, warm environment, and great selection of beans that they can grind for you to your liking.
