One thing that our government can do to eliminate the terrorist-problem within our own borders is to stop messing around in the Middle East. Every time the USA intervenes in any country, some of the people from that place end up here. For example, Omar Mateen's parents immigrated while the Reagan Administration was meddling in Afghanistan.

Let us mind our own business and everything will work out better.

The Muslim occupation of Spain was a long damned time ago. The Muslims of today would never be able to overrun the West on their own steam. The real problem is treason that has invited "diversity" of immigration. Did you know that under President George Herbert Walker Bush, something called the "Diversity Lottery" was started, that has the purpose of bringing in the most exotic foreigners possible?

Did you notice that after the 9-11 attacks, the administration of George W. Bush took a stand in favor of this diversity, against all common sense?

If you are not talking about treason, then you are not talking about the real problem.

This kind of issue is used to motivate us for crusades that are against our interests.

As sad as female circumcision might be for the women in that region, it's not our problem. We cannot fix the whole world. We can't afford to get worked up about such things.

Female circumcision has been happening for thousands of years. Contrary to what one is led to believe, it did not begin with Islam and it is not limited to Islam. It is a regional practice. In Ethiopia there are even some Jews that do it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_genital_mutilation

I think you should give more prominence to the fact that Assad probably has not used chemical weapons at all. The intelligence in 2013 was faulty, and the intelligence in 2017 is similarly faulty. This is really a crucial point, because there are many people who, upon hearing that Assad is some monster who "gassed his own people," stop caring about other arguments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOKOwgeFcG4

Rush's "Devil's advocate" points are really irrelevant.

(1) NATO is obsolete for reasons that have nothing to do with the question of who pays for it. The Soviet Union is gone and NATO these days is used only for BAD things like bombing Serbia or destroying Libya. NATO is useless for fighting terrorism, but it was used to help terrorists by destroying the government of Libya, and might be similarly used against the government of Syria.

(2) The matter of Chinese currency-manipulation is really a matter of trade-imbalance and loss of jobs. What in HELL does that have to do with North Korea? Not a thing. An "America First" policy would preclude compromising on what is good for American workers in order to adjust the behavior of some tiny country on the other side of the world.

(3) Trump's action against Syria is ominous because, as Pat Buchanan says, it seems rash and poorly considered, and if Trump continues to react to anti-Assad propaganda this way we will end up invading Syria. Nikki Haley has been implying that there will be war if another chemical attack happens -- which is very ominous, since Assad probably is not doing the chemical attacks and therefore cannot stop them.

Rush's criticisms of Obama for doing nothing in Syria are mere partisan sniping. The reason why Obama "huffed and puffed and did nothing" was that intelligence officials told Obama at the last minute that it was not clear that Assad had used poison gas. In that case, "nothing" was the right thing to do. Here's a news-article that talks about the fact that the evidence against Assad was inconclusive: http://bigstory.ap.org/article/ap-sources-intelligence-weapons-no-slam-dunk

There was no proof that Assad used chemical weapons while Obama was president, and there is still no proof -- but it is very well known that Assad's enemies have used them.

Anyway, an "America First" president should not be very concerned with this. There is much less chance that we will act based on misinformation if we simply mind our own business.

During the South Carolina Republican debate Trump righteously attacked George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq, which he correctly said was based on lies. Now, unfortunately, he seems to be on a slippery slope toward doing something very similar.

I hate to say it, but Assad and Kim Jung Un at this point are looking like convenient punching-bags for venting frustration.

If you want to know why there is this warmongering against Syria, look at why there was warmongering against Iraq. Hint: it wasn't about oil. We didn't GET any oil.

I explain it all here: http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2015/11/review-of-pbs-frontlines-the-war-behind-closed-doors/

Was disappointed at how easily you acquiesced to RL's counterarguments. This move against Syria was BAD. Most likely Assad didn't gas anybody.
