Looking for some amazing beer on tap, that come in their own branded glasses to provide the best flavour possible? Looking to chow down on some incredible and exotic brat? Want to do it all in a casual but hip space, complete with low lights, bench style family seating and a DJ? If so, Wurstküche is the place to go! If you walk up to the restaurant and see a line, don't turn around, this is completely normal. As you wait in line you get to peruse the menu, and once inside can order drinks, including one of their fine beers, and sip it while you move ahead. You order first in this restaurant and then go find a seat - the servers will find you (they provide a number that sits on your table) and deliver your meal. The food is really incredible, complex flavours and top notch dipping sauces. Because everything is at your table, you don't have to worry about service. People come around to clear your plates, but if you want a drink you just head up to the bar. This is a great place with good food!

For a quick and easy meal in the Arts District, I highly recommend Wurstkuche. Food comes out fast and the laid back dining atmosphere was a nice change of pace for me. I liked that I was eating gourmet food (or at least above-average hot dogs) without having to dress up. The hot dogs are priced reasonably (between $5-$8) and the thick-cut Belgian fries are delicious! The small comes with one dipping sauce and the large fries come with two.

Hidden at the outskirts of the Art District, I come here when I am craving a fancy hot dog and some good beer. They offer a variety of unique sausages from rabbit, to alligator to Filipino style. The fries are also doubled fried and they have a huge selection of both dipping sauces and beer. It is a great place to grab lunch during the work day and a place to hang out on a Saturday night. If you come here on a Friday or Saturday night prepare to wait in line for at least 30 minutes.

I have to admit it--I was really hungry last week so I ordered 6 sausages, 2 fries, and a beer for myself. I feel bad for my friends who had the misfortune of accompanying me to dinner, they must have been starving all night! So how did EVERYTHING taste? The flavor of the spicy sausages outshone the others so I would recommend the Austin Blues, hot link, and even rattlesnake & rabbit. Surprisingly, the rattlesnake and rabbit didn't taste very odd or gamey, and I actually enjoyed it. My least favorite sausage was probably the duck and bacon as I think it was too mild-tasting and needed a lot of mustard to spice it up. Last but not least, the hot and crispy french fries dipped in the above sauces might even be more enjoyable than the sausages themselves. Oh, and it might be a good idea to share some of this food with your friends to maximize the communal Wurstküche experience. Wurstküche is a good place to check out the "sharing is caring" theory, and I recommend you try it.

A very nice hot dog / gastropub restaurant complete with some unique foods. Here are some must orders if it is your first time here: 1) rattlesnake rabbit sausage - don't let the exotic name turn you away...its actually super duper delicious! plus, not everyone can say that they have had rattlesnake rabbit sausage. Definitely try, you will not be disappointed. 2) duck bacon sausage - a good alternative, not as good as the rattlesnake, but still very savory and tasty 3) Belgian fries in white truffle oil - do I need to say more? your tastebuds will dance in delight! 4) Elderflower soda or Peach soda - top if off with one of these babies and you're good to go!

It's a cool spot. The hot dogs and beer are good and they have a lot to choose from. The negatives: The beers are expensive, some come in tiny glasses, and you have to shout to have a conversation most of the time because they play loud music.
