DAY 4 - Storytelling
I am not quite sure if this effectively addresses threshold concepts but probably goes in the right direction... at the age of the actors in this video, most of learning is transformative, irreversible, integrative, bounded and troublesome. With thanks to my small one and friends for their kind collaboration ;-D

Day 5 - CreativesHE 2018

Good challenge! For the first part of it, I created this mind map. I would suggest using a Periscope channel to follow the event remotely.

Day 2 Challenge (what I used to play with as a kid, and how we can use this for teaching now): I fished this out from the back of a packed wardrobe, showing the painstaking work I did when I was twelve or so (I can recognise also my brother's writing as a 10 year old). I seemed to be big into TV quiz programmes (I have not turned out to be such a nerd after all in case you are wondering), but for whatever reason we went about producing our own questions and answers. It would be easily translated into a class environment and also online in a flipped classroom scenario (perhaps asking them to devide their own questions and contribute them to a shared online document), there is a good 'Who wants to be a millionaire' template in www.raptivity.com to do this.

This is a catch up with Day 1 trigger inviting us to access: Jackson, N. & Willis, J. (eds) (2016) Exploring creativity in development, achievement and innovation, Creative Academic, Issue 4, April 2016, available at http://www.creativeacademic.uk/uploads/1/3/5/4/13542890/cam_4a.pdf. I focused on +Norman Jackson piece on an online programme development in page 55.  What resonated most with me was his closing statement that 'Innovation not only leads to achievement it fundamentally changes us - we innovate ourselves and through our new found abilities and confidence we are not afraid to do it again.' I found I am at this stage in my career where I have the priviledge and scope to think of what focus I am going to take in order to contribute to the strategic aims of my institution, but importantly, in ways that make a real impact in learners' life and in myself as a learner, so I can find intrinsic sources of motivation to help me to 'gracefully age in academia'. Again, rather than producing something myself (I promise to get stop piggipacking on others' creativity at some point!), I found my inspiration while walking the sunny streets of my native hometown. The mural reads: 'Never wrinkle in the inside'

After watching the beautiful Alike video (https://vimeo.com/194276412), I went for a walk in sunny Madrid and bumped into a creche decorated this way, so different from the professional-looking style of creches back where I live. Just imagine our universities looked a bit like this!
Disclaimer: The images are obvioulsy not mine but I now I have learnt how to use a pic collage tool, nice one!

Hello all, delighted to be part of this iteration of HEcreatives, after a couple of failed attempts at finding the time and commitment to do so! Instead of drawing my own 'selfie', here is my 3 year old's (first) representation of her mother (isnt she a genious?) :-D
