Have Apple hardware (MacOS or iOS) and want to use IKEv2 with sane encryption parameters? https://github.com/jeffmahoney/ikev2

Fedora folks: Why on earth does your installer think it's a good idea to run fsck on EVERY file system? My test node has root file systems for a dozen different releases and it's been unresponsive the entire time.

This is a really interesting (and scary) read.

Programmer friends, I have a position open in my team! We're looking for an individual to work on storage technologies within the Linux Kernel! An ideal candidate will have had previous experience doing OS development (Linux obviously preferred) with storage technologies ranging from the SCSI stack (including FC, FCoE, iSCSI, etc), multipath, device mapper, and software RAID. This position is with +SUSE Labs and telecommuting would not only be acceptable - it's pretty much the norm. Of course, if you prefer working out of an office, we have a few of those too.  :)

One of the upshots of the recent dustup on LKML, from a novice developer refusing to accept feedback, is that it seems to have drawn a number of other newcomers to the Linux kernel out in other forums (like this one). It's encouraging to see people asking questions about what was done wrong to cause such a reaction and and other people using it as an opportunity to answer questions and share resources (like http://kernelnewbies.org) with people that might not have heard of them otherwise.

As someone who hires kernel developers and has an increasingly difficult time finding qualified candidates: YES! COME! LEARN! +Greg Kroah-Hartman isn't kidding when he says there are jobs out there if you want to do this professionally!

So this is one of the things I've spent part of the past few months working on. Cooperation between HP and SUSE brings home the overall #1 and #2 spots for specJBB!
