I've just had one of the overseas telephone calls trying to assure me that they were from the technical department of Windows Software Company, ringing to sort out my computer problems.
Please, please, please .... don't ever fall for one of these scams.
The best advice to listen to is from Microsoft themselves.

One of the most important things you can do to safeguard your life online, apart from making sure that you are fully covered by anti-virus and security updates etc, is to use different passwords for all your  accounts or to put it another way - NEVER reuse passwords online. If one password / account is breached, then the bad guys have got full access to everything that uses the same password.

Well, the main monthly Microsoft updates last week went a lot more smoothly than last time - no repeat of the April problem!

As always, the standard advice is - please do ensure that you keep fully updated on all the essentials ie. Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, Adobe Flashplayer, and Java if relevant.

If you need help, there are some guides on the website or just get in touch.
