Check out my two net application vulnerability analysis courses on WintellectNow. No slides, only Burp Suite, Zed Attack Proxy, a browser, and purposefully vulnerable web applications. Third one coming next month!

Columbus Devs - wanna come to a security get together and see how the other half lives? You can head to Security MBA Monday and OWASP on Thursday next week - it's a securitylicious week!
I will be Master of Ceremonies at the Security MBA on Monday. Register online and join us for a discussion of security bound to make you think, and maybe even act. And remember the B in MBA stands for "beer."

It's not security, development or lockpicking, but hey, it's the weekend. How about some jack'o'lanterns?

I have been building a Street Samurai costume for this Halloween, and part of it is a write mounted network scanning computer. I'm using a Raspberry Pi B+ and a AdaFruit 1601 capacitive touchscreen for the hardware, mounted on a leather grieve. At the 11th hour, though, the touchscreen isn't getting a signal from the Pi anymore. Bummed, but I am going to still work on it. Party tonight and some events tomorrow, but I have a week till Halloween, right? Here it is mounted, and the dead touchscreen.

Head, shoulders, knees and butt, knees, and butt. Head, shoulders, knees, and butt, knees and butt. Eyes and ears and nose and gut. Head, shoulders, knees, and butt, KNEES AND BUUUUUUT!

I have been using Windows 7 for my customer VMs since keyboard/mouse experience on Windows 8 is so dismal. With 8.1 though, things are better. I am setting my my first Windows 8.1 customer VM right now. Already can see benefits, like the integrated OneDrive, which will make things easier.

While I was picking green beans for dinner, my three year old daughter kept stealing the beans and eating them. Raw. Somewhere along the way, we did something right. I know so many kids that wouldn't eat a cooked green bean. With cheese sauce. And my daughter eats them raw. Proud papa.
