As the first location established, SUSHISAMBA in Gramercy captures the brand’s signature color scheme and cultural inspiration. The color palette is that of Brazil’s annual Carnaval celebration, featuring the brand’s signature colors of mango, rich red, lime and gold cast a uniquely rosy glow. Bubble-shaped lights fill the ceiling and provide guests with a distinctive signature style while deep banquets are cloaked in soul warming reds that prove irresistible to guests who find solace in them for the evening.

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Food: Excellent! If you are looking for fresh and exotic sushi, this is it! My favorites are the Samba Park and Green Envy rolls! Drinks: Excellent. Many great specialty drinks to choose from. But, I suggest the Nina Fresa! Space: This is a very romantic, sleek, and modern dining setting. The main floor is the bar, sushi bar, and dining area. The open space is very conducive to mixing and mingling. Perfect for date night, impressing a date,or get-togethers! Scene: People watching. Romantic. Trendy. Pick-up scene. Date night. Service: Excellent! This place is always packed. Reserve ahead.

I really don't know about the good reviews before for this Restaurant. Today the owner must have changed. The dragon roll was made of stale material, the beef pinch is actually Latin dish, not very bad but the portion is very tiny. The deco, as the food, is not at of a good taste. I will go to any sushi place in New York but this one.

Always innovative creations - delicious sushi and japanese fusion. A fun, swanky spot for after work cocktails. The West Village location has better decor.

I went for the first time and choose the 5 course. The chef chooses what to make and you are not disappointed! food was excellent! they bring you perks for you first time there and they have exotic beers which are fantastic. The duck is the best!

A bit overpriced, but still delicious. We prefer to order a bunch of small dishes to share instead of entrees - be sure to get the Tuna Tataki, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Neo Tokyo roll, & the El Topo roll.

Interesting upbeat ambience w/ ok food. We went on a late friday night and it was not crowded at all, which was nice. The waitress was sweet and nice in recommending food for us; yet I still have to say, I'm not impressed by the quality of the food. However, the drinks were nice, especially the cocktail tree, colorful and fruity, I liked the watermelon flavor and pineapple flavor, didn't quite like cucumber flavor because it was kind of wacky.

i enjoyed so much sushisamba at miami that i thought was going to be the same in this one, it was not. even the food was good, the furniture, floors, ceilings and furniture in general was dirty and old looking which is not appealing for a place to eat tiny pieces of fish not matter how good they taste. good flavors, poor ambience and poor service.
