RIVIERA IMPLOSION NEXT DOOR TO HUGE CONVENTION

Blowing up the Riviera in Las Vegas tonight, right next door to the Las Vegas Convention Center, during the middle of one of the biggest conventions in Las Vegas is stupidity beyond belief.

Blocking off all the roads around the Riviera, including the Las Vegas Strip and Paradise, knowing that there is also massive construction blockages overnight in most other routes over night close to the strip, during the only big convention in town until November 1st, is unbelievable.

Tomorrow, not only do 85,000 conventioneers get to deal with extreme heat, but now they will get to have deal with toxic dust in the air.

Maybe the people who scheduled the implosion didn't know it was in the middle of a huge convention next door at the Las Vegas Convention Center, right? But, wait, the property is now owned by the Las Vegas Convention Authority.

Some people will say "but it is at 2 am, so it won't affect anything". Those are people who are clueless about Las Vegas economy and traffic and where the money comes from to pay all the bills for the State of Nevada.

What do I know. I am sure the people in charge are smarter than me.
