Nice place to share plates and drinks with friends. It's also a good date night restaurant. I recommend reserving in advance. The staff was really great, very helpful and friendly. When we were ordering she even told us to stop because it was enough for two people. Very few people do that, unfortunately I forgot her name... We started our meal with some delicious oysters. Not too big, not too small... Then we had the delicious fried oyster deviled eggs. Man... you gotta have these. Not your typical deviled eggs. The prosciutto plate was good, some better than others. The mushroom bread was great, we couldn't stop eating it! The only downside of the meal was actually the bone marrow, the pickled grapes were overwhelming. You could smell the vinegar from miles away... It was a great evening at Rocks & Hog, the drinks were great and the food was good!

Went here for drinks after dinner. It was great. I ordered a scotch drink called penicillin that was delightful! We were there until closing time but didn't feel pressured to leave or keep ordering drinks. It was a nice spot to pop into on a chilly night and catch up with friends. Will definitely be back.

Came here on a Friday night with a reservation, and got seated promptly. I ordered the local market fish of the day, which was a cod, and compared to the size of some of the other dishes, it was pretty small. There was one small piece of fish (which was good), and then some half-cold veggies around it. In the dark restaurant, it was hard to tell what I was eating in each bite (fish? veggie? something else?). My dining partner got the fish and chips which she enjoyed but didn't finish because the portion was so big. They also had a burger on the special's menu, which looked amazing, but I wasn't hungry enough for that, which I regret now. All around, the food, atmosphere and service was fine, but there was nothing special that stood out to me, especially for a restaurant in this price range. 2 entrees and 4 drinks was $100 - standard for this type of restaurant so I wasn't surprised, but not enticing enough to bring me back, unfortunately.

Yummlicious Rocks!! One of our favorite place to satisfy our oysters craving. It was rather crowded when we arrived. Glad we made a reservation for lunch. We were there for their Oysters Happy Hour. Almost like a hush-hush happy hour, there were no mention on their menu nor on their walls. Spoke to a server was told they were running low on the oysters. We asked for two dozens. Unfortunately, there were only 17 left and the sweet server reserved them all for us. The happy hour oysters were miyagis (hopefully I got the spelling right), they were our favorite! The other two were just alright. Ordered mains - a fish and chips and a hamburger. Both were alright, the fries were kind of disappointing. We ordered their blood Mary, which was pretty strong, a root beer which was nice and a cider that was pretty mild, The plus point is their lovely ambience. Chill and modern, a nice place to hang out with friends. Overall, a nice place to satisfy your oysters craving. Head down for their oyster happy hour and place your order quick (especially on Sundays!).

Good cocktails and oysters. A bit pricey, but a good value.

Restaurant Week Menu Review/General Service Review My experience with Hog & Rocks was a little underwhelming. I was here for some bites last year and thought it was good. This time I came for Restaurant Week and had their discovery menu. I can't say it was that great. For $85 dollars the food was just okay, but I guess the value was in the drink pairings, which were decent. I felt the service matched the food in quality. It was okay, but nothing great. It almost felt like they treated us with the idea that it should be our pleasure to dine with them, they were busy, so they could squeeze us some service. Our waitress messed things up at the end of the service, and we could tell she was flustered, but instead of being apologetic about it, she got a little defensive. (Honestly, its a set price menu, how do you mess that up?) It actually lead to more mistakes. She eventually got everything sorted out, and told us if we had a problem she had let her manager know. Which is fine, but again in a defensive CYA kind of way. Kinda left us wondering what just happened and did we really enjoy our experience? I guess it was a discovery menu, we discovered that Hog & Rocks is not the best of choices for Restaurant Week.

They had pretty great oysters, but the service was really bad. Perhaps they were just understaffed though.
