Hi All
As I never use my own camera while with clients on any of the workshops or courses, my job after all is to help people with theirs. People often ask me ‘when do I get time for my own photography’ I do find time during the seasons to get out with the camera. Here are some of the projects I have been working on this autumn and so far this winter. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed taking them and don’t forget as always you can place orders for prints mounts and canvases online at the following websites or perhaps you are thinking of taking up photography as a new hobby in the New Year. Then why not book one of our Workshops or Photography course days.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Jack & Alison

Just experimenting with the video editing software on PSCC. Now I know why I will never tutor video. I'll stick to what I know best I think. The software is fairly intuitive though and I watched a couple of tutorials on the adobe website. Hope you like it. Jack PS I'm supposed to be designing the exmoor photography 2019 calendars, don't tell Alison!

I had a rare morning to myself on Sunday so of course I popped down to Kings hide. Silly o’clock start but definately worth it. As I watched this juvenile male bird (downy, dark feet & white tip on beak) for nearly 2 hours! He was obviously a novice Kingfisher as he was missing more strikes than he made. He did catch 3 fish eventually. The adult birds often use the perches and dive straight in but he went to the top of the perch and obviously didn’t like the height because he hopped down the branch and dived from a lower position, very funny to watch. Reminded me of watching people at the old Lido in Minehead climbing up to the top diving board changing their minds and trying to come down the steps with out anyone noticing, which of course me and my mates always did! Kingfishers bash the fish against something to stun/kill it before swallowing, he wasn’t quite getting this right as kept bashing tail end first and not the head like adults do. However his persistence eventually paid off in the end. Lovely to see the youngsters hope he survives. Also some Foxes and Badger images. I still have a loads of images to edit/post from the snow we had including Red & Roe Deer. To be honest the Kings hide has taken nearly all my spare in between other courses.
