This is a real tree. There has been no digital manipulation to its shape. (Wish I had a better camera when I took this shot.)
All the other trees around it are straight but, by some freak of nature, this one grew in a spiral like Jack's magic bean stalk. This tree is at Pottawatomie State Park, near Sturgeon Bay, WI.
