I'm a huge fan of whole foods but this location is disgusting. I witnessed a drunk, semi-homeless looking guy, very carefully bend down and smell the soup spoon at the hot bar. I thought that's strange he's awfully close. Then, with delight in his eyes, he scooped some soup into the ladle and ate it like a thirsty camel. He did this twice! I quickly notified vil or will, his nametag was smudged, who shrugged his shoulders and carried on placing more salad into the salad bar. I couldn't believe my eyes. My wife stopped a few people from eating the soup but it was hopeless, we left in horror. I understand people we be gross but for the staff to care so little this must be common occurrence. I advice never eat from the hot bar!

Buffet- The food in the buffet is not organic, and people put food back into to it. Staff- The staff is not knowledgeable about products. e.g. A staff member just wanted to write a rain check for Kombucha, not Synergy Kombucha. There are different brands of Kombucha and she didn't care that there was a difference. Line- The 10 or less items line is slow, long, and chaotic. I have witnessed arguments over the color coded system, and I have unfortunately been a party to these dumb arguments too. Many of us joining the line way back by customer service do not even know where the line starts. So, we find out that we were not in line. Tap - Tap is a great place to have a drink (and buy those 10 or less items). Solution- Have a beer in Tap, and then Shop at Trader Joe's, up the street at 72nd and Broadway.

insanely busy supermarket with a bar that actually serves alcohol! A rare exception... anywhere. You can pick up hot foods or do your shopping for groceries, Same high quality as any other Whole Foods that goes along with price. Different craft brew served seasonally but all in all a great to enjoy food and brew with others or kill simply time while others shop.

This store is one of the most busiest store around Columbus Circle. It is on the lower level of Time Warner building and has a Jamba Juice bar. What is interesting about this place is that they have a beer/wine spot called On Tap. Where you can try different NY brew beers/wine. Sometimes there are meetups here. If you want to shop, they have a great selection of Whole body care products. Full of creams, natural products, makeup and also vitamins. PRO- They sell Bola Granola, great selection of hot meals, have seats and booths and very convenient in transportation buses and also train stations CON- TOO CROWDED, bathrooms too small

The place is nice, clean and convenient. You can buy amazing quality groceries and fresh organic produce. On the downside its expensive with very limited brands (Mostly organic) and the long queues that form at the exit counter make me a little wild. I prefer shopping late at night around 10 as there is no rush at that time of the day.

Review is for the Tap Room only. Where you drink good beer without tipping. For this alone it's worth braving the crowds and stupid layout of the Columbus Circle WFM. The Tap Room is a GREAT place to hang out and get your growlers refilled from the often-changing draught beer list which featured several Peak Organic and other NYS beers. It's billed as grocery not bar, which means you don't tip the bartender for all that day drinking.

It's pricey but the service is good. The food area feels clean and healthy. The staff is friendly. It's just a nice place to sit and eat with a friend. I like their black bean salads. It's just done well!

This place is hugely popular and deserves it. Any Whole Foods would have been welcome in this slightly sterile neighborhood, but Whole Foods has packed a lot into their subterranean space. I was in town for a week staying down the street and found myself here every day. It's clear that lots of residents do the same and many of them turn it into a social meeting place. While not dinging a star, I'm going to whine before I close about the beers. The beer bar has become a fixture in many Whole Foods stores but their selection is not that interesting (where are the super hoppy iPAs?) and punitively overpriced. This a fault of WF in general, not this particular store. I will add that the beer selection within Columbus Circle is much limited than at the bar--if you just want to grab and go--and ice was not in evidence though they were willing to dig up some in the back room for me.
