The University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas is the only Catholic university in Houston, recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the region’s best universities for over 20 consecutive years. We welcome students of all races and religions to our ethnically and culturally diverse campus located just minutes from downtown and the famed Texas Medical Center where many of our students do internships. A private university, we have an average class size of 15 and an average yearly tuition cost of less than $13,000 (after financial aid). Our students average an annual salary exceeding $50,000 in their first year after graduating.

Undergraduate students can major in biology, psychology, bioinformatics, communications, political science, music, business, Catholic studies and many other subjects with tutors and tutoring services available in biology, accounting, finance, writing and more.

We also offer one of the premiere BSN nursing programs in Houston, Texas. The Carol and Odis Peavy School of Nursing here on the UST campus is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

The University of St. Thomas also hosts one of the most comprehensive graduate programs in Houston, Texas. Our Cameron School of Business is an AACSB accredited school offering MBA programs along with degrees including a Masters of Science (MS) in Finance, a Masters of Science (MS) in Accounting and many other degree plans. Our School of Education and Human Services offers a Masters in Education along with degrees in teaching, clinical mental health counseling, ethical leadership and Catholic education.

The university features a series of pre-professional programs such as the pre-law program which requires courses focused on various disciplines including LSAT prep for students here in Houston, Tx. The pre-physician’s assistant program is designed to prepare students for entry into physician assistant school. And the post-baccalaureate pre-health program prepares students who wish to apply to allopathic medicine, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy or veterinary medicine schools. Other pre-professional programs include pre-med, pre-dental, pre-optometry and pre-pharmacy.


UST also runs a series of Houston summer camps. Athletic camps provide opportunities for athletes of all ages to develop their skills in a fun, sportsmanlike environment, promoting individual improvement that leads to athletic success. Our summer music program camps for piano, guitar, pipe organ, choir and string orchestra allows students to participate in daily classes, ensemble and student performances and concerts. Camps are designed for students who will be in grades 3 – 12 in the coming fall.

And our summer reading program in Houston provides an opportunity for children and adults alike to enhance their reading skills. Program locations also include Conroe, Kingwood, Missouri City, Richmond and Spring.
