Best optometrist experience I've had! The staff at Lone Star Eye are extremely friendly, helpful, and explained every step of getting my eyes checked. The frames and lenses are competitively priced too and they have a decent selection. Will be recommending Lone Star Eye to friends!!

Office is easy to reach. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Dr. Packer explained everything clearly and made sure I understood. His technician explained what to expect prior to each of the tests she performed on my eyes. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Packer is definitely my "eye doc" going forward.

I can not say enough great things about this office and Dr. Packer! He cured an eye infection that I have been struggling with for over one year! Dr. Packer is a great listener and really smart about finding the right treatment options. I had been to other eye doctors that did not help and he was able to seamlessly figure out the medication and dosage that I would need. He was thorough, comprehensive, and caring. He even helped me figure out *much* better contact lenses for my sensitive eyes. We tried on three different kinds to find the right one! All I can say is...if you need an eye doctor, run don't walk to his office! He is great!!!! And, his office is very helpful and organized. Thanks Dr. Packer and staff for bringing my eyes back to health!

Dr. Casey Packer is not a patient focused optometrist. I had an appointment scheduled after work and gave advance notice that I was running late. What I had liked about this office previously was the late appointment hours available. I was informed that if I was more than 15 minutes late that my appointment would need to be rescheduled. Upon arrival and before the 15 minute cut off time, I was told that Dr. Packer had already left for the day. Poor customer service. I will not be returning.

Shannon, sorry to hear you feel that way. Since you did not confirm your appointment beforehand via phone or email, we did not know you were coming until you called to let us know you were running late which was 13 minutes (via our caller ID records) after your scheduled appointment of 6:00pm. We then contacted you at 6:15 to reschedule your appointment which you had still not shown up to. Your time is just as valuable as mine and I would hope that you would understand this scenario given that you running late would've forced my entire office staff to remain at work after 7:00pm (our closing time) to complete your exam. Do you feel that it is fair to my employees to have to work later than their normal hours because a patient was late to their pre-scheduled appointment?

I knew I had a free annual eye exam from my insurance carrier, but played stupid as I doctor shopped all the options for eye-exams and eye-wear around town. I called all the big names and each one tried to charge me a co-pay ... except Lone Star. They looked up my plan and honored my annual freebie with no attempt to gouge me for an additional $42 co-pay, then used state of the art equipment to test my vision and the health of my eyes. They looked up and found that my insurance also had a discount plan and honored that as well. I saved HUNDREDS of dollars on the testing, as well as a few hundred dollars more on my glasses. My wife will be going in to see Lone Star in a few weeks. Honesty and integrity are hard to find these days, but these folks have that there waiting for you, as well as state of the art equipment to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible.

Have been there several times. It is always a great experience. I will continue with them for my eyecare. Hank MatthewsMD In yesterday for annual exam. Again excellent experience. Dr. Packer gives me the best exams I have ever had. He is the best!!!!!!

Friendly, courteous and most importantly - patient and knowledgeable staff. A much different experience than I have ever had at an eye doctor. Dr. Packer takes the time to explain everything and is careful to make sure you understand. I did not get the feeling he was trying to push expensive treatments on me...quite the opposite. I came out with a clear understanding of how to take better care of my own eye health with concrete facts. There was no wait time. The new technology they use is mind blowing. A great experience all round.

I have always had a great experience at Lone Star Eye, the staff is courteous, Dr. Casey is very easy to work with and knowledgeable. The technology that they use at Lone Star Eye makes for a very quick experience very little waiting around. I will continue to go to Lone Star Eye even though I now live on the opposite side of Austin!
