As Christian soldiers we have to be onward all the time.
Ready to fight against the enemy of our souls.
The Lord has given us the weapons already. Ephesians 6
But we can't use them if we are afraid, sleeping, stumbling, sitting passively.
We have to wake up, get up and get strength from the Lord. Isaiah 40:29:31
Even in the hardest fights real soldiers never give up. Are you ready?

Jesus, lover of my soul,
let me to thy bosom fly,
while the nearer waters roll,
while the tempest still is high;
hide me, O my Savior, hide,
till the storm of life is past;
safe into the haven guide,
O receive my soul at last!

Other refuge have I none;
hangs my helpless soul on thee;
leave, ah! leave me not alone,
still support and comfort me.
All my trust on thee is stayed,
all my help from thee I bring;
cover my defenseless head
with the shadow of thy wing.

Plenteous grace with thee is found,
grace to cover all my sin;
let the healing streams abound;
make and keep me pure within.
Thou of life the fountain art;
freely let me take of thee;
spring thou up within my heart,
rise to all eternity.

Exodus 20:12
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

HONOR: homage, reverence, veneration, deference.
To show respect.

Is not a suggestion, is a commandment.
But, what if our parents don't know the Lord?
Well, we don't have to agree with their lifestyle, but we have to respect them, help them, take care of them, loving them.
Is because of them we live, God chose them to give us life.

When we honor our parents we obey God and give Him glory.

Behold the Saviour on the cross,
A spectacle of woe!
See from his agonizing wounds
The blood incessant flow;

Till death's pale ensigns o'er his cheek
And trembling lips were spread;
Till light forsook his closing eyes,
And life his drooping head!

"'Tis finished"-- was his latest voice;
These sacred accents o'er,
He bowed his head, gave up the ghost,
And suffered pain no more.

"'Tis finished"-- The Messiah dies
For sins, but not his own;
The great redemption is complete,
And Satan's pow'r o'erthrown.

"'Tis finished"-- All his groans are past;
His blood, his pain, and toils,
Have fully vanquished all our foes,
And crowned him with their spoils.

"'Tis finished"-- Legal worship ends,
And gospel ages run;
All old things now are passed away,
A new world is begun.

compassionate feelings that support a willingness to forgive
mercifulness, mercy.
The feeling that motivates compassion.
The act of excusing a mistake or offense.
The ones who have experienced the forgiveness of God know that our hearts are full of gratitude for our offenses have been forgotten.
But sadly sometimes is hard for us to forgive when someone has hurt us.
I've heard people saying "I forgive, but I don't forget" WRONG!
If you don't forget the offense then you never forgave that person, and you keep your heart captive in resentment.
God's word says that we have to forgive one another, as God for Christ's sake has forgiven us. Ephesians 4:32
Even if that person never ask for forgiveness.
Thank you Jesus for you have forgiven and forgotten my offenses!!!

Heavenly Father I pray you give me Your strength to face today’s hard and troubled times with the confidence of knowing that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness.
Help me to don't fix my eyes in the difficulties, but in You.
Thank You Lord that my strength comes from You and that Your grace is sufficient for all the duties.
In Jesus' name I pray.

2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

O the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!

There are depths of love that I yet may know
Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
Ere I rest in peace with Thee.
