#GOODBOOKALERT:
Economics Through Everyday Life: From China and Chili Dogs to Marx and Marijuana
Ok, so I'm not completely dense but I'm also not super smart. Especially nowadays I figured I'd better bone up on my economics so I can actually understand what is going on. I had economics lessons in high school as part of our history and current world problems classes but I graduated about 13 years ago. So I only knew a bit. And to be a responsible citizen with real value to our country, I think we should all read this book.
I really loved how it was sectioned off into specific categories that apply to economics as a whole and used more simpler language instead of uber professional jargon only uber economists would understand. Plus the author is a total expert who has years of viable experience so this was very informative and realistic. I actually learned a lot and have taken away so much from it and now have a better u understanding of our country's economy and pitfalls.
It talks about the public market and businesses, types of governments, state assistance and benefits and has timelines and pictures and even talks about the crisis in 2007 to 2008 and how we got to where we are as well as future projections. Plus with a glossary of terms, it's easier to understand.
So I really do recommend for everyone. It's better to know more about what really helps the world work best and how to better our economy so we can continue the right path or vote for those who know how to get us out of this. I read this book for #free as a part of the callisto publishers club but this opinion is my own and I truly found this book to be beneficial and I formative personally and professionally.
