Had a bad night but made it up to me with comped dinner... Really excellent besides the sauce they put on aged filet tastes like corn syrup. ... otherwise perfect... ask for no sauce till they stop using something from a jar And you can hear everything they say about you in the kitchen from the bar area. ... Not that it was bad but amusing. Ester was a great waitress. . Saw the bartender eyeballing her tip when I was leaving. .. Hope she got it.

Food is awesome (5 star food). We had the lamb and the scallops. The atmosphere is a little loud and crowded, and the service was good (not great).

Cost of 50 per person includes a couple of drinks each. The cocktails were very nice and a good selection of premium imported beers (I was excited to see Ommegang on the menu). This place brought to my table excellent service. The best I've had since moving to Nashville from Chicago a few months ago. This place brought to my table the most excellent food! A perfectly cooked filet, and lobster ravioli was just right. Live music was a nice mellow jazz with no saxophone, no vocals, perfect volume level to be enjoyable, but you didn't really have to raise your voice to chat. Decor was mellow but not too dark. This is an excellent experience all around but for ONE thing... Valet parking. I could not for the life of me figure out why I would want or need valet parking at a small restaurant with a small parking lot. I can park my car myself, thank you very much.

good part of town. food is hit or miss but can be very good. the wine list has diminished recently and the decor is a bit dated.

One of our favorites. We've been dining at Whitfield's since it opened, and have never experienced anything but exceptional food and service. Nathaniel, the owner, is usually there and always stops by the table to make sure everything was to our liking. Notes about the previous bad reviews: Most of the staff has been there since it opened. That wouldn't be the case if they didn't love working there. My guess is that the bad reviews are from people that are, 1) probably rude; 2) can't be pleased regardless... We don't want to dine with you anyway. Whitfield's is great. If you like what I had to say, you will like Whitfield's.
