This park is one of the city’s largest lungs. It is really well-known for having different types of fauna and flora. In fact, it is considered as a National Nature Reserve for the richness and variety of species. One is able to find deers, reindeers and other animals. Pay attention and listen to the wildlife. You will enjoy a unique natural environment.

London has many gyms, and they all cost an arm and a leg and offer not very much at all beyond a wall of treadmills and some weights.
I put it to you, dear reader, that instead of paying £70 per month to fail to go to the gym, only to quickly get bored when you do go, that instead you head to Richmond Park, park for free, and go for a run, a bike ride, a long walk, maybe some open-air yoga... whatever you like. I guarantee you won't get as bored as you do in the gym, because the park is huge, and every inch of it is beautiful and fascinating. The park is also teeming with deer and other wildlife, which makes exercise far more entertaining, and - if the deer are feeling particularly territorial - motivates you to run a bit faster too.
The BEST time to go is just in time for dawn. The park is STUNNING as the sunlight just starts to peek through the trees and the mist rolls up the hillside.
Good to note that there's a cycle hire place so you can grab a bike if you want to. Parking is mostly free, so you have NO EXCUSES AT ALL for getting out of visiting here for a bit of fresh air and some healthy exercise!

Great for cyclists. My university society used to do regular rides to and round this fantastic place. Decent tarmac and not too many cars. Great for a spin round if you are in the area and commutable from South Kensington and south west London. Can be a little nippy but once you get going its ok. Fantastic any time of year but particularly enjoyable in Autumn.

Richmond Park is a wonderful place to escape to. You can take a lovely stroll through the greenery or cycle around. I enjoyed watching the wildlife and it is fantastic to get close up to the many deer around the park!

Richmond Park is absolutely breathtaking: a large gem of endless green where you can get lost... and happily so. Regardless of how you navigate through - walk, run, cycle, etc. - you're bound to bump into a "stag party" of beautiful fearless deer that roam so close to you, you can practically touch them. I was in Africa the last time that I found a park so incredible that it nearly rendered me speechless. It's crazy to think that a place that feels so remote and special is just a few tube stops away. If you're from out of town and wondering if it's worth the trip, please know that it is. It will be the highlight!
