To all my fellow community members-
Though I have been in Poly relationships before and my fiance is open to Poly relationships in the future, this post is not about anything Poly per say but is something that can happen in any type of relationship I think.
My fiance and I have been through quite a bit over the past year that has lead to us drifting apart building relationship's with other and then finding our way back to each other again. Currently she is out of the country for her job and I just returned from being out of state while a friend babysits our kids.
My fiance and I are pretty open with one another about what we think and how we feel, it is one of the reason we were able to be apart and find our way back. We spoke to each other about the relationship we built with the people we met in a bit of detail; so I was caught off guard when, while I was having a bit of a conversation with one of our kids Lyra via text, Lyra informed me that the man my fiance was with hit my fiance, in the midst of an argument they were having.
I was dumb founded and a bit speechless. I ask Lyra if this happened in front of her and her brothers, she told me yes. I am highly against a man or a woman laying a hand on their spouse out of anger, especially in the presence of children, so needless to say I am highly pissed off at this man for what he did.
My first instinct was to purchase a ticket and pay a little visit to this man who feels it is ok to hit my fiance, but I am keeping in mind that I am a nerd, I have a brain and I should use it. For any wrong that has been done to me I have always held back my want for revenge, however in this case for it happening to my fiance and in front of our kids, this is something I cannot let go.
Am I wrong or this?
