An excellent opportunity for a KTP Associate in Biomedical Sciences (This post is appropriate for applicants with a PhD awarded or submitted).

SiSaf is a Specialty Biopharmaceutical company with a unique patented next-generation drug delivery technology.  The company is a world-leading expert in nanoparticle silicon technology and it is applying its proprietary drug delivery platform to applications for human and animal health (www.sisaf.co.uk). The company is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK with offices at the Northern Ireland Science Park and laboratories at the Ulster University Coleraine Campus.

The business is expanding the applications of its drug delivery platform in relation to nucleic acid delivery in ophthalmology. This will create new opportunities and improved human health offerings for the business on a national and global level.

To exploit these opportunities, the company has joined forces with Ulster University to appoint a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead an exciting, Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project which aims to develop new health care products for ophthalmology for a number of corneal eye disease problems.

Applicants must have been awarded or have submitted a PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science or a closely related discipline. He/she should have practical skills and research experience in molecular biology and drug delivery/formulation.  The appointment will be for a period of 2 years and is based at SiSAF, NI Science Park, Belfast and Ulster University, Coleraine campus.
