Excellent review by Sandra M., via Yelp

I've just recently became a gun owner & purchased everything, including ammo, lasers, cases, etc. from DGM. Smith/Wesson 9mm no problem. Glock 9mm no problem. Colt AR15 no problem. Mossberg 500 ... BIG problem. Never fired it & on practicing racking (I'm just a lady at 120 lbs, so was trying to build up strength) on the 4th or 5th time, I couldn't get the rounds to eject. I tried & tried & tried, so returned the gun to DGM for their gunsmith to look at. In the meantime I contacted Mossberg, explained the deal & they said "send it back". Well, I don't know about you, but having a brand new, never fired shotgun fail, didn't make me feel warm & comfortable. They basically said they would "fix it" and/or "rebuild it". I said, "no", don't want a rebuilt gun, I want a new one. They said ... "will never happen".
So, back to DGM. Gunsmith never looked at it after 3 days. (I agree with all the other reviews that they are definitely understaffed.) Oshin who has helped me with everything (be sure & ask for him, he's not the friendliest, but he is the BEST) retrieved the gun & couldn't get it to eject either. I explained the Mossberg scenario & told him I didn't want this gun ... period. I wanted to exchange it for a Remington 870. He called Aaron, the person that handles exchanges, consignments, etc. Aaron tried & tried & tried to make the stupid Mossberg work, even took it apart to determine that the part (think he called it the elevator) had failed. (I think just because I'm a blonde senior citizen no one believes me ... which is OK, because it didn't work for them either!)
Bottom line ... DGM went the extra mile to make me happy. They swapped out the Mossberg for an upgraded Remington 870, same price. My only extra charge is for yet another background check (thank you State of California) and the fact that I have to wait for my gun, plus three extra trips to San Diego.
My advice to new gun owners ... (1) Get there at least 30 minutes before they open or you can have up to a 2 hour wait; (2) Go to the back counter & grab a number the minute you walk in; and (3) Try to get Oshin to help you.
And to John H., the Vet that couldn't get his chair out of the car due to parking issues; First, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE; and, Second, I agree, the parking lot leaves alot to be desired.
