Today is a day for reflection. A day of silent, and not so silent, remembrance of the lives lost on 9/11 and the countless lives since then fighting terrorism. A time to think of who we were and who we have become. I send out my heartfelt thanks to all the men and women at home and abroad that are working to keep this country safe. I send out my deepest sympathies to the families of everyone lost along the way.
I still remember.
There are many people that don’t want to see their newsfeeds filled with remembrance talk. That’s ok, that’s why the soldiers are fighting so you can have your opinion. For all others there are plenty of planned gatherings to remember. Go if you want, go if you need.
I will never forget!
