After busy shopping day or a date night, this is a nice calming place for a meal. quality food but a little pricey. Atmosphere is there!

The husband and I went to the box with a groupon and it was worth what we spent on the groupon and what it would cost without. Of course without the groupon, I would not have order everything that I ate, as I was stuffed at the end of the meal. Yes, the decor is not great but its artsy nonetheless. The space is small and you become part of the next table. Our server was Jessica and she and attentive. I recommend but come with your wallets padded. You are paying for the name but the food, drinks and service are also worth it.

This review is for the Thanksgiving 149 dollar so-called "deal" dinner for 10. There was nothing right about this meal. The food was mediocre. In no way would it have served 10 maybe at best 6 (when we saw how much food they actually gave, we had to go out and buy more). The best element was the turkey, which, of course we cooked ourselves, although the cranberry sauce was respectable. You could easily have prepared the same meal for about $50 dollars and had much better quality food (which we ended up doing anyway -- making the stuffing and gravy ourselves). No mashed potatoes included, and the bread was not fresh, the butternut squash soup was tasteless, and the sweetpotatoes were over-sweetened. This was a huge disappointment, and to top it off, they had the nerve to charge tax on top of it -- not stated in the advertisement. In addition, you would find out when you picked up the meal, that each dish could have been purchased separately for about the same price as the combined "deal". Although the wait staff at Burkes are pleasant enough, there is hardly anything good I have to say about the acutal product .. from the deceptive advertising to the mediocre food.

The food is not bad per say, but a little high in price for the quality. The service is outstanding. These poor folks have to deal with out of towners shopping all day and manage to keep the service fun and light. You'll feel like you've stepped into Pee Wee s playhouse with all the whimsical toys littered through the restaurant! Be sure to check out the happy hour if you are in that neighborhood-the sangria is no joke!

My wife and I went here using a GROUPON and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. Our server/bartender Shuba was knowledgeable and very interested in making sure we chose the right food and drink options that paralleled our tastes and preferences. Really nice guy. FANTASTIC SERVICE. The food was really phenomenal too. Yeah....there are some negative reviews going on here because the restaurant is intimate and has a hip feel to it so I think snobs may feel out of place here. ENJOY THE FOOD and say HI to Shuba!
