A warning about Copy.com cloud storage service, as they have very poor Customer Service.
I decided to try their cloud storage service on April 25, 2013 as recommended by others.
It seemed to work ok with the free storage, so I opted to upgrade to paid storage on April 28, 2013.
After using it for about 3 weeks, and comparing it with Google Drive and Dropbox, I decided I didn't like it enough to want to keep using the paid version.
On their website, I clicked to downgrade back to free storage, then save settings. It showed the new settings were saved. Then it refreshed itself and went back to the paid setting. What?!
So I contacted the support department and explained what happened, and I want the paid storage cancelled. This was on May 17th, 2013.
3 days later, on May 20th, 2013 I received an email from them stating they will investigate and escalate the issue, and contact me back when it is done.
To my surprise, today, on May 28th, 2013, my credit card was charged again. I contacted my bank and they will attempt to reverse the charges. However the bank stated the only way to be sure they won't do it again, is the cancel the credit card, and have a new one with a different # issued.
If you were thinking of using the paid version of Copy.com, you may want to consider other choices, like Google Drive or Dropbox. At least with their systems, when you downgrade or cancel, it happens immediately.
