At Chutneys, it starts with with great food: Lamb Vindaloo prepared with hand-cut boneless lamb (seasoned with fresh mint from our own backyard) to Vegetable Korma prepared with locally sourced organic vegetables and ingredients. We support Clark County's CSAs and help our customers make food choices that are healthier for them and their families. With the exception of desserts, all items on our menu are made to order with you-our customer in mind. We do not believe in dousing our dishes with salt and grease to make up for the lack of fresh herbs and spices. We love what we do-it's that commitment and passion that shows up each and every night to engage and entertain our guests.

Family-owned outpost for Indian staples from lamb vindaloo to vegetable korma, plus lunch buffets.- Google
"The food was flat, I ordered lamb vindaloo, and asked for it spicy."
"Definitely one of our favorite Indian restaurants anywhere!"

We found this restaurant by accident while looking for another Indian restaurant. Ordered Samosa, Lamb Biriyani and Lamb Tikka Masala and the food was very good. The lamb pieces were quite large. Even the chai and the kheer was very tasty. And yes their chutney is good too. Definitely recommended.

Very good and huge portions! I was there just after grocery opened and I liked the variety as a non-Indian enjoyed the fact many items had the English version of what was the spice also. :)

Staff was friendly, restaurant is beautiful, but most importantly... food is GREAT!!! I had the Goa Shrimp and wanted to lick my plate clean. Food comes in a bowl, so be sure to order a side of rice if you want more than just the amazing contents of the bowl. The owner came and greeted us at the end of our meal and asked us for any feedback or comments. He said he is a new manager and has been listening to prior customer feedback, and wants to make sure everyone is getting a great meal. Top notch place!

One of the best places to eat. excellent food. Everything is prepared fresh. Food temperature is excellent Super friendly staff. Willing to go out of way to please the customer. Customer is treated not as customer but as a family friend. Fresh Indian tea for not only restaurant customers' but for grocery customers too. Not a typical chain type restaurant; but a familiar 1950's-1960's type feeling of older America. A+++++++++++++++++++++++

The food here was downright excellent. It was fantastic food. The service???? Not so much. Upper management was absolutely to blame for this one. We arrived here at about 7pm on a Monday night, and we were the ninth table to be seated. For all those nine tables full of people...there was one waitress. You could tell that she had way too much work to do for one person. She was a bit frazzled trying to multitask taking care of so many people. The entire time that she was trying to help so many people, three of what I believe were either her 'bosses' or 'upper management' were over in a different corner of the restaurant DRINKING BEER while this poor waitress was trying so hard to keep up! You would think that a GOOD business owner would recognize that there were simply too many people for one waitress to help, and would get his butt up from drinking a beer to help his customers! My boyfriend tried to order a 12 ounce beer of a certain kind that they claimed they had on the menu, but they were out of it and he had to get a different kind. I ordered some chai tea, and then ordered the Chicken Karob (spelling?) and my boyfriend ordered some type of chicken dish with spinach in it. With both of our entrees were supposed to be able to choose whether we wanted basmati rice or naan, but the waitress never asked. At most restaurants they bring your drinks to you immediately so you can sip on them while you wait for your food to come. But our drinks were not brought to us until the food came. When the food did come, there was only half the rice then their should have been. She said that the rest of the rice wasn't ready and would be coming shortly. Then as we were getting ready to eat we realized that boyfriend hadn't even been provided with silverware, so we had to ask for that. The food was very, very good. I have no complaints about the food at all. Both of our meals were delicious. The rice that came with the meal was great, and we ordered naan so we could try that, and it too was fantastic. When we were finishing up our meal, there were only about three tables of people left (including us). THIS is the time that the boss/upper management guy decided to put on an apron and come around and ask how everyone was doing. We just said we were fine because I already planned on complaining here instead. What I have to say is this: We won't be back. Your food was awesome. The waitress was actually quite lovely. Although she was a little scatterbrained and forgot about fine details (asking for rice vs naan, providing with silverware, etc), she was EXTREMELY nice. The only reason she was scatterbrained in the first place was because there was only one waitress for nine tables of people. She was overworked and under-helped. If you are the owner of this restaurant, I would urge you to take care of your customers: your upper management shouldn't be sitting around drinking beer and chatting it up while one person is striving so hard to take care of your customers. We want to eat at places that treat their employees right, and there was no way that girl could have helped everyone who came in.

If you have never eaten at Chutneys in Vancouver, I highly recommend it. I'm not a fan of Indian or buffet type food, but this restaurant is fabulous. The owner grinds his own spices and makes his own cheese curd. The flavors are fabulous and there are many vegetarian dishes to choose from. Everything is fresh and the restaurant is super clean. Love this place.
