No Shelter

Its amazing that when the rain and snow comes at you sideways you struggle to find shelter in a city. One of the few occasions I enjoy having noise in an image.

I have met photographers that scramble for shelter at the first sign of bad weather, get into the city and you get some sublime images when it does let lose, I love the bad weather :)

I Stand

I stand and watch
As the world moves
The sun rises and sets
And days pass by
I stand and watch
As the tide ebbs and flows
And the seas call
I stand and watch
As time turns the sky
From day to night
And the stars fill my world
I stand and watch.

Another from Crosby beach and Antony Gormleys installation "Another Place" one of the most surreal places to spend time and just watch.

No Way Out

Good morning Googlers.

There seems to be a problem with notifications not loading so I am a little behind in replying this morning.

This is an image from the archives, its in the tube station at Lime Street Liverpool, it really is a dark depressive place and not somewhere you really want to be at night, this is one of the rare occasions that I use framing in an image but I think it lends itself to a cinematic feel. I don't do many pure street shots but I do enjoy them, maybe I should do more :)

Throwing this in early for #MinistractMonday hosted by +Tom McLaughlan

Not sure it works for this theme but figure I'd take a shot. Taken just after sunrise...

The Great Hall

One from the archives.
This is one of the Cathedrals from Liverpool namely the Anglican one. I recall sitting at this spot for what must have been an hour waiting for someone to walk into the frame, theses two gentlemen finally did and it was a one shot hit.

This is a single RAW file HDR conversion, I went for black and white simply because of the details within the image are lost in colour. I love the sheer scale of this place, I spend as much time looking up as I do at other parts of the building.

No One

No one sees.
No one knows.
No one cares.
No one understands.
No one tries.
No one listens.
No one asks.
No one cries.
No one has.

I'm no one, I'm the one who is nothing.

I'm sat up editing images, I should be in bed but a combination of pain killers and alcohol has my minds going off in many tangents. Maybe its a slight case of insanity that has me sat here, maybe its a drive to show what I see, how I feel when I see, how some things hit me in the pit of my stomach and gnaw away at me.

Since I joined G+ things have changed, I have re-evaluated my approach to photography, this I can only put down to a lot of other photographers that have made me look a little deeper, people like +Alan Shapiro +Mihailo Radičević +Thomas Hawk +Teresa Stover +Victor Bezrukov +Lotus Carroll +Danielle Tunstall and god knows how many others I could mention.

Thank you.
