Hey everyone. We "finished" a setting for Fate Core. It's got character creation and some sample characters. It's got big time issues and smaller ones. Conspiracies and more, this setting has it all!

Actually, what it doesn't have is feedback from people outside of our circle of friends and family. So please, heap on the praise or better yet, let us know what doesn't work so well. I'd love for this to be a setting that other people play in.

Thank you.

This is a map of Nightsdeep. I made it, all on my own. Is little, and broken, but still good. Ya. Still good.

I did a thing! Hopefully, it's okay to post this here. Let me know what you think.
Have you ever felt like playing a vaguely old Norse person in a Gothic horror setting with touches of eldritch alien abominations and malfunctioning clockwork enforcers? Do you feel like attempting to rebel in a setting where strange zombie-like creatures have corralled humanity behind walls and vampires took advantage of the situation to rule? Do you hate the sun?

Have I got a setting for you!

I've edited, cleaned up and posted almost everything you need to play in the setting called Nightsdeep. I won't waste too much more of your time but, I would love for you to look through and carve out whatever juicy bits you may find. It would be awesome if you told me anything that you may want more depth about or GASP if you actually plan on using anything from here! Enjoy!

I'm posting this here because it would be great for people to play with this. However, if I posted this in error, let me know and I'll remove it.

I've been staring at the blank screen thinking about what exactly to type and how much information is actually wanted in a setting. What I mean is, how much depth does anyone really want? Furthermore, is there a key way to organize it? I don't want to just start writing and end up with something sprawling and intimidating. I want GMs to be able to dive in and pick up what they like without making it feel stale or boring.

I could try to mimic the already great Fate world books but, I wonder if that is best when I'm publishing to the web. Besides, the books don't seem to have a standardized format as is. I guess what I'm asking is for some advice.

When you're exploring a new setting that you may want to play in, what do you want out of it?

I'm trying to cobble together some rules for a Stranger Things style game. You play children facing the fantastic, the horrible and the strange. Let me know what you think so far?

Roleplaying in an alternative 1930s with world jumping and crazy powers? Yes, please! We're using the strands of fate RPG system. It's been a lot of fun so far and I can't wait to see what else is planned for us.

Is there a mailing list or popular google+ community for strands of fate? I really like the system but have been underwhelmed by its community. I'm hoping that my google-fu is lacking.

Merry Christmas!
