The International Monsanto Tribunal is a citizen's initiative and runs in imitation of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands. This is an important link, because last year (2016-Sept-15) the ICC, which had until then only focused on war crimes and crimes against humanity, such as genocide, published a policy paper that widens its breadth to include crimes such as the illegal exploitation of natural resources, land grabbing, and the destruction of the environment. Further, the ICC invited "everyone" to support and participate in global justice:
