Great bbq! Totally not understanding all the recent bad reviews. Went on a Friday night and had a 30 min wait, which was fine due to the fact that they had live music outside and plenty of seating. Our waitress was very nice and always smiling. The tables were clean, despite how busy it was. Their bread is good, and the wait for our food was extremely reasonable, about 15 minutes. Everything came out correct, and tasted fantastic! You get a good amount of food for the money you pay. Overall, it was a great dining experience and i would return and or recommend it to others!

Definitely not good but not horrible either. This is not real Texas BBQ. I didn't like the sauce at all...Sausage was good,ribs are okay, brisket was tasteless...beans okay, coleslaw was tart not to good, and potato salad was horrible. PS... nothing had a smokey taste to it. Sad but Rudy's is definitely better

I had heard some pretty good things about Salt Lick from friends in Texas so when I saw one inside DFW (and while very hungry) I was pretty happy. I ordered the brisket sandwich and was under-whelmed by it. Not sure if it is that the airport location does not have the same facilities as a normal restaurant nut it wasn't anything to write home about. It wasn't bad mid you... just not what I was hoping for. The location is pretty convenient to get to from any of the concourses at DFW. I am not sure if there is another BBQ option available at the airport.

Not as good as the original location but still phenomenal. Brisket was fabulous. Ribs were a little disappointing (not falling off the bone tender which I like and dry rub isn't my favorite) but still really good. Pulled pork good with their awesome bbque sauce. Fried potato chips and potato wedges were deliciosas. Beans were okay. Potato salad was not good. Sausage was good...Way up there for delicious barbecue!

The Brisket was cooked almost to perfection while the ribs were overdone. I have no idea what the substance they call potato salad is. The beans are good and Cole slaw is vinegar based. THIS IS NOT TEXAS BBQ! There is no flavor.... I mean nothing. Even the pecan pie is lack luster in flavor. You have to use the sauce to have any enjoyment out of eating the meat. Prices are above average for the portions and the service is fast but I won't return.

I came here since I've heard rave reviews about the place. I think it's a bit overhyped. We got 2 platters with brisket, beef ribs, sausage, cole slaw, and beans. The portions were not as large as other BBQ places. Also, I felt like the brisket was a bit dry but the beef ribs were pretty good. Their sauce is really good so I bought a couple bottles. It was pretty crowded but our waitress was pretty attentive. I would just get the beef ribs and the sauce if I ever come back.

I really enjoyed my meal at this location, which we visited due to sheer proximity to a nearby hotel. The sausage links are out of this world, the brisket delicious and the pulled pork just OK. Love the BBQ sauce offerings and the spicy isn't even that spicy. I ordered a side salad to bulk up my meal since I passed on sides but should have skipped it given the sheer amount of shredded cheddar served with it. Seating is communal, staff is friendly and they don't rush you even though it's an hour+ wait most days. If you're looking for fancy wines or cocktails, don't look for it here. Your best bet is a local brew or house wine. Oh, if you do not want bread, tell them before it hits your table or they can't take it back. We all know it's a shame to waste carbs!

I thought the food was great. It arrived 3 minutes after we ordered it which was awesome since we were very hungry. I had pulled pork and I added lots of BBQ sauce to it which is right on the table. We liked the open kitchen and thought the atmosphere was cool.
