When it comes to veggies, a deeper color tends to equal richer health benefits. For example, choose kale or spinach over iceberg lettuce, or sweet potatoes over white potatoes. #EatRightforLife

I actually have a claim that I was told today was being denied because I NEEDED A REFERRAL TO SEE MY FAMILY DOCTOR. Yup. Then the customer service agent told me no, there was no else that could help, resubmitting will be useless, it will just get denied again This after she points out that she has now been on the phone with me for over 20 minutes and really can't do anything, do I want to close my account...? I'm going to call back after work tomorrow and record the call this time...... I cancelled my account in February told the woman taking my payment to cancel it.- ironically enough due to VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I keep getting bills still showing past due amounts...I spoke to someone (again) on the phone in April- she said she would take care of it. I got ANOTHER bill today . Poor Poor service. Fix this NOW please. I will also be copying this online since Keystone tends to ignore me when they speak to me... I have had new insurance since March and am very happy with their service.

Independence Blue Cross is an EXTREMELY crooked company. They deny that I have any insurance with their sleazy company, even though I have cancelled checks proving otherwise. These thugs are outright criminals to deny my claims. I RESENT being forced to go through the aggravation of wasting many hours fighting this garbage. These grease balls told me that my coverage would not be interrupted and that I was covered. However, it turns out that these scumbags just stole my $20,000-plus in payments and offer NO coverage at all. One of their many deceptions is to confuse customers by not making clear what their membership number is. I now have to endure the torture of fighting these felons in court just to get what I paid for. I intend to name their president and CEO as codefendants because they may know about this conspiracy, and I suggest that you do the same if you face similar troubles with these lowlifes. If they've robbed me, they have probably robbed other customers. If possible, find another insurance company. It's just not worth the frustration of dealing with these liars and thieves.

They started to charge me before I even received my insurance card! It took 2 phone calls before I was able to get to the right place, and get them to charge me correctly. $150 a month is no laughing matter. Anyways, I sent them an question through their website. They replied back, but I can't read it because their website has some issues. I sent them another email, and they say to call the number on the back of the card. No problem. I love waiting on hold for 15 minutes before being juggled between departments not knowing who I should be talking to. Customer service? Nah. They're in the insurance industry. Edit: They kindly invited me to their offices to talk about my pain points. There's great people who work at IBX! Unfortunately, they were caught with their pants down post-Obamacare, now that people are taking charge with finding their own insurance. The manager I spoke with, Shawn, is incredibly intelligent. The future looks bright for IBX, but until that happens, I'm still at a 1-star review.

I have insurance with them and they have been unable to resolve a billing issue for many months. Do not apply for insurance with this company. They are terrible and incompetent.

Terrible company. I am with Cigna now. Originally went with blue cross through obama care. Still working out the medical bills from the birth of my child and have talked with numerous managers for the past 7 months since her birth. Every time I call I am told something different and that is why this cant be worked through! Obviously the employees and supervisors are very poorly trained.

Terrible experience! beware! seemed like a good choice at first because my previous policy was with another bcbx affiliate for over 7 years with no problems. . However i spent over 45 hours trying to set up coverage with independence only to have my policy cancelled without my knowledge when I needed the coverage. Further, ibx failed to send invoices and failed to debit my account despite having auto debit set up. I have to log in to my account several times a week to verify they havn't again erroneously terminated. I would argue these actions amount to an unlawful denial of coverage. Since independence is an affiliate of the blue cross blue shield network i would encourage anyone having similar problems to reach out to blue cross blue shield ceo Scott Serota directly at ph: 3 1 2 297 six zero 00. fx: 312 2 9 7 six six zero nine. two two 5 north michigan avenue chicago, Illinois 60 six 0 one One would hope mr. Serota would be concerned with independence's tarnishing of the bcbx brand.

Horrible insurance. Absolute joke. When they tell you you have coverage at the doctor, the part they pay is likely to be far far less than what you pay them on a weekly basis. They cover next to nothing and your actually much better finding a better company or paying it on your own. You seriously don't need this "coverage". Oh and forget trying to do simple things like get your member card mailed to you, took me several phone calls and 6 months. Hold times are freaking ridiculous. My doctor's office couldn't even get in touch with them! And now I'm getting the run-around again trying to cancel the services. Bunch of slimy pigs these guys are. Do not get this insurance ever!!

absolutely awful - biggest mistake i made was signing with them. I received no written information about my coverage despite numerous requests, and had to depend on customer service - who gave me the wrong information - and fooled me because they were actually quite nice - very chatty. took up tons of my time giving wrong info - or obscuring the facts. I now have huge bills because i saw doctors outside the network - although i was told by IBC the opposite - I gave IBC doctor's names etc before making app't and was told these doctors 'accepted the insurance' and i could go ahead an make app't. what a scam. if insurance company give wrong info - how can one use the USA healthcare system??? when one customer service finally finally told me that I would pay the entire doctor's bill because they were 'out of network' - I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor to complain. I will now make a formal complaint with the official PA Insurance body, and the Attorney General. this is no better than a scam.
