Introduction
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii... fell in love with the beach at age 8, and never stopped bodyboarding since~ Hmmm, before I moved to San Diego, a typical day for me would be something like this: Get up in the morning, head to the beach with some friends to check the waves, go for a quick surf, come in and get some breakfast.... Frosted Flakes maybe, some fruits, then just cruz, surf, eat, surf, cruz and surf~! Those days are loooong gone... but, everytime I visit home I get to sink into that same routine again, at least for a little while~ *sigh* I miss those days.

Great little place to get some mex! I always get the CA burrito here... but the carne asada burrito is good too. They cook the meat well, giving it a little char, so it's not too "stewy". They have a salsa bar with some good salsa choices, as well as some hot carrots and peppers. Check it out if you are nearby and craving some mex!

Great place to get Hot Pot! There's a wide variety of meats and veggies, and the place is pretty big and can accommodate large parties. Prices are on the higher side, but the food tastes good. Service was also pretty good... can't go wrong with this place if you are craving Mongolian Hot Pot.

Urban plates in Del Mar Highlands is a good choice to get great tasking food! It is usually very busy, but getting you food does not take long at all. Seating is also not too hard toget, as everyone is supposed to order, get thier food, then find seats after...and people generally follow this rule. The staffis very polite and helpful. The place is very clean and the decor is done very well. There is inside and outside seating, and then even have a seating area with a firepint outside! Prices are very reasonable, with most dishes at $10. They also have a good selection of desserts, and even beer on tap. Overall this is a great place to get a bite, say or night!

This McDonald's used to be a Bistro McDonald's... but since changed back to just a normal McDonald's. However, the decor remained as is basically really nice McDonald's with furniture and decor of a hipster bistro joint!

Sushiya in Del Mar Highlands is a good place to get some Japanese food. It's located near my house, so I go there from time to time for dinner. The prices are reasonable, and they have some "half off" deals on some special rolls and hand rolls. The food pretty good, but some of the rolls were a little messy and not made too well... but they tasted fine. Sushiya isn't a big place, but it does have a sushi bar and a few tables outside. It can get pretty busy, so seating might be an issue. The decor is fine, nothing too special. The staff and service was good and the food came out in a reasonable time. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are craving Japanese food!
