Just noticed something amusing. Searching on Google AU for "Endemol" (it's a TV production company) and the description looks fairly normal. If you search for "southern star" (they used to be Southern Star Endemol) you get the second screenshot... "What appears when you type in the content field on the homepage? Nothing!" which is actually the meta description on their site.

I wonder if they know their web dev left this message in there... They probably haven't noticed because it doesn't show up when searching their actual brand name!

Return flight to LA and a return domestic flight for just $349? Hear me out...

If you don't already have an AmEx, there's a bonus 100,000 Velocity points for signing up at the moment. I just got my card today :) If you sign up with this link, you'll get an EXTRA 10,000 points (and I'll get some too) - so that's 110,000 total. That's about what you need to fly return from BNE to LAX! The card also includes a free domestic return flight each year. $349 card fee. I figure, sign up for the bonus and cancel before the next annual fee! http://100experienc.es/bonusflights

So after a long hiatus from marketing events, I'm going to be attending the Interactive Minds Digital Summit in August. Who else will be there?

Could the days of banner ads (and Google Display) be numbered? Interesting article looking at some of the latest moves to block ads and what the industry's moving towards instead.
